When I was 14 in 1998, my family became close to another family in the congregation. One of them was an 11 year old girl and her mom was a JW, but her dad wasn't and he was an alcoholic and very physically abusive to the mom and verbally/ mentally/ emotionally abusive to his daughters. So, the older 11 year old daughter would call me on our house phone(no cell phones yet) almost every night and I would talk to her until she felt safe and comfortable enough to fall asleep, and then I would hang up. Sometimes, it would be 1 or 2am before she could fall asleep. This went on for a couple of years and my mom caught on at some point and told my dad, who was an elder. So my dad called me back to his room one day and asked me about it and I told him, I'm just talking to her until she feels safe enough that she can fall asleep and I asked him what he would do if he were in my position. To my surprise, he said he would do the same thing I was doing and told me to carry on and not to worry about it. This girl and I stayed very close, ended up getting married in 2010 and we are still happily married today and feel very lucky that we found each other ❤

But I digress, the true reason I wanted to much to reach out is to encourage you to reconsider labeling yourself one "atheist". I am not in any way saying you should believe in "God" but since there is no proof to INVALIDATE the existence of "God" then it is equally implausible to completely deny the existence of "God". I think "Empiricist" is more appropriate. An atheist says "There is no God ", an Empiricist says "I cannot confirm or deny the existence of a God, since it has neither been proven or disproven"

LISTENNNN!!! Back in the day when they had those subs for lunch. Roast beef and Italian combo, Dipsy Doodle corn chips, sodas, and Swiss Miss pudding cups… Oh, and the apple and cheese danishes, orange and apple juices at break. Those were the days when I looked forward to the conventions, one and two day assemblies. Solely for the food! I’ve been out for so long now but that food will always be a core memory.

I remember when at assemblies and conventions, they told parents to keep a close eye on their children. The reason? Because the meetings are public, and non JW’s could be there. They didn’t tell us the truth that there were pedophiles within the congregations.

Jesus did not want his disciples to go and be persecuted for his namesake. He WARNED them that they would be. So, unlike the Governing Body, he WOULD NOT have INTENTIONALLY made his disciples go into a land like Russia knowing they would go to prison or be killed while he kicked back in a lush compound protected from the outside world. The Governing Body are cowards! On a lighter note, in the bunker video, it’s hilarious how the poindexter elder with the coke bottle glasses has the other JW’s get behind him as if he’s gonna be a barrier to keep the SWAT team away like some action movie hero.😂

The last convention I was at when they came in that basement I always doubted the religion it kept me frightened all the time glad I’m gone the videos you guys make really help me, I been soft shunned because I just became inactive to keep some communication open I seen a sister doing cart witnessing made her speak she threw her hand up hurt my feelings but helped me see the hypocrisy your offering so called spiritual food and your being kind to strangers but barely wanna speak to a former witness that just left no immorality the religion kept me depressed also I became ill with cancer years back I’m doing great now and glad that religion out of my life 🤦‍♀️

My brother was thinking the same thing about saving us at the end. He’s not a believer but he’s around our dad helping him (he’s 86). Authorities do not incarcerate people for being nice. The Russians do not want an American religion in their midst nor do they appreciate Incendiary threats made toward human Governments, which includes them. Such insurgency is met with a robust response. When my wife pointed this out to a witness, the person just gave her a blank look.

The GB are the ones who claim to be closest to Christ/Brothers Of Christ, so it makes no sense why it's not them who are thrown in jail and persecuted, Christ stated that his Brothers would suffer like he did even the apostles paid the price for following Christ, but the GB Are just cruising and throwing the rank and file under the bus everytime..smh 🤦‍♀ people should wake the F up.. this religion is a waste of life..

Yeah, if you learned anything about Russia with the ongoing war in Ukraine, one thing the government won't put up with is men not being willing to join the army, and fight for the country. A few years ago, I read a summary of Russia's reasons for the ban. They were actually spot on. They found that the isolationism was violating individual's rights and causing divisions in families. They highlighted the Book of Bible Stories and the psychological harm it caused to young children. Russian is a somewhat religious country. They have no problem with ppl owning and distributing bibles. They did, however, have a problem with WThaving it's own version of the Bible. So, if all they had to do was use a regular Bible to stay out of trouble, why cause problems for the R&F? If experts say that a book you distribute for children is psychologically damaging, revisit the book and figure out how to maie it more age appropriate. I've seen other children's Bible story books and they're not s horrifying. The problem is the JWs are a doomsday cult and refuse to give up the high-control, doom & gloom aspects that are harmful.

My step dad was born in 1914 and he went to prison at the age of 20 or so, "gladly" so as not to carry a weapon or kill people. He was a "conscientious objector".
