The go pro effect just does not do 12:00 justice. That jump is a jump OVER another jump trail! I found it when I got lost on the climb up to Rest and be Thankful. I’ll give it a go when I retire so if I break a bone I’ll not have work to miss 😂

Hi. Thanks for the video. It's one I watched before recently purchasing a Gestalt XR. In my first few rides, I've had issues with dropped chains. Have you had any problems? I'm thinking about replacing the FSA Megatooth ring, as this seems the most likely culprit (having confirmed that the derailleur clutch is on and the chain length is correct).

I'm a mountain biker, thinking about getting a gravel bike. This is the bike I keep coming back too. I like that it comes with a dropper, and that it has a slacker head tube than most gravel bikes. The geo numbers on most gravel bikes scare me. In the mtb world, a 70° head tube means the bike is likely to eject the rider at the first sign of chunder.

Hi, thanks for sharing the review. At about 4:00 you notice the trouble with the cable routing touching your knees. I'vbe notice the same issue. Did tyou find out since how to improuve the situation ?

The trails at the bottom were just finished a week before they opened and all the rain didn’t help. I was up last month fixing them and adding extra drainage. It was the wettest part of the hill so it just needed more time to settle.

Great video, thanks. I was at Glentress today with my son and we had a blast. Those red trails are much steeper than they appear on the video, which is normal. My son did the black trail and loved it and I chickened out.Maybe next time. The runs at the bottom are still closed, which is a pity. As you say, great view from the top of the hill, but it is a long climb.

And doing it on a laptop screen! sod that for a game of cricket! 2 years ago now, I bet you enjoyed a long relaxing bath after that to rest the body! I've just bought the Kick v5 from Wiggle half price and started up with my tv as the screen and already I climb like my life depends on it for the Tron bike! and now I'm a badge hunter :)

Trails look well nice! Great video. I'm looking into a rooftop tent atm too for my ford (same model I'd say too, a connect right?) but I can't get my bloody head around which rack to get. I've no rail yet on mine either so I was just wondering which combination you guys have to support the weight of the tent and yourselves. It would be a massive help. Keep shredding!

Surprised at how you managed no to barf from all this garbage you put inside you during this ride. Absolutely horrible nutrition choices filled with tons of added sugars and processed trash. Let's not even mention the hidration based on coke which actually doesn't hidrate you at all and gives you no replenishment of minerals lost from the sweat. Terrible stress on your body which probably had to fight to keep insuline levels off the charts due to the constant chugging down of processed added sugars. You are not a pro racer. You don't need explosive power. A 100 miles at your pace could have been a great opportunity to force your body to metabolize energy from fat. But no. Let's swallow pure sugar instead. Next time stick to water with minerals or proper sports drinks. Protein bars are fine. A few gels of fast absorption and fruit. This effort was nice specially taking in account the challenging routed you picked. But the diet was an awful spectacle and I hope you've learned how to eat during long rides by now.
