Hello, Christian. We are super happy with our 62. I would not say that we've had troubles, but we have had things we've needed to adapt to our needs. It's more that we have added little things, and nothing earth shattering. It's always that way with boats, and we bought this one after it was already built. Given that, ours was constructed in a way that there is very little I would do differently. There have been NO major structural or engine problems to date, and we are 20K+ miles into travel at this point. We do have a professional captain and we sometimes call him MacGuyver; he can always fix things like bilge pumps, marine heads and customization of my closest or whatever comes up. He even built me a special cabinet with a large dry box for my photography equipment. Those things would all cost us extra if we didn't have him. But a handy couple could manage this boat and cruise on their own. We know the owners of the Iliad 70 and they cruise without crew. I just really enjoy the comfort of having someone professional to maintain all the systems and keep the boat in as new of condition as we can. She is in great shape!! We should be at the FL show for the first two days, and would be more than happy to sit down with you and talk about our experiences.

@@christianmilot6700 see you in Ft Lauderdale! And if you haven't watched our RUclips page, we did a review of our Iliad 62 that you can find there. There are starting to be more reviews and walk throughs on the 53 as well. Our experience was that the 53 looked to be just as quality of a build as ours. We just needed more space for live aboard crew. The 53 would be a great option if we were going to manage the boat ourselves, although with more attention and less goofing off, I'm sure we could handle the 62.
