Absolutely remarkable video! Not sure if you'll respond, but how's the mic holding up? Looking to get it. Pros/Cons?
Thank you! I use it almost every day! I would like to have it serviced, as I believe there may be a component that overheats about once a week (at which point it stops passing signal until I turn the power supply off then back on. Other than that, I did upgrade the tube inside to a TAD 5751, which made a positive tonal change. I like this mic a lot!
Oh, as you may know, this style of microphone can overload depending on the source strength.......for instance, a loud singer or loud instrument.......I tend to back the mic further away from those sources
@@gearandamovie Hey thank you for getting back to me! You've made me consider more, given you replaced the tube, but I did read somewhere that it's preferable to have tube mics pointed upside down so the circuit wouldn't overheat. Not sure how true this is, but maybe give it a go? Also, your track is amazing! Keep up the good work and don't stop.
Welp, just decided to buy a Protein and a T4. Thankfully, both are for sale close to me for a great price.

Try it with their TERC Chorus in a Stereo rig . OH MY GOD! :) I just picked up a Morley AFX-1 brand new for $250! It gets fairly close to the EVO-1 but not quite nailing it. Extraordinary YT video of a COMPLETE REBUILD of the Legendary Morley EVO Echo-Delay. ruclips.net/video/aBSEQmYTLMY/видео.html

I had one of those Morley EVO-1 units back in the day and pounded many a NYC Stage with it. INCREDIBLE but a BEAST to haul around. So happy IK came out with this. :)

@@TrevorrNourse howdy! Does not need to be first..... I'm not totally sure about the buffer. You'd need to contact Browne Amplification about that. They are good friends of mine. Good people!
