I'm chinese and the youngest of my family, every new year our family members or friends will give us a red envelope, inside the red envelope is money (chinese people call it hong bao) and last year my two older sisters got more money than me. My eldest sister got $50, my middle sister got $25, and I got only $5.

Once when I was younger My brother was scared of the dark so he always asked me to go to his room because mum and dads bed he would be squished One night I said no and he beated me up He also started saying the n word infront of me and twisting my arm It’s not being young or older it’s what the siblings do to you And also some youngest siblings are nice and don’t mean to be rude But if you attack your siblings and harm them you’re the reason they hate you

For everyone who is saying “how does the younger sibling have a hard life” well here’s how, the younger sibling is well younger and me being a younger sibling I have experience. My older brother always gets straight As vs me well let’s just say I have a hard time with grades. That being said the older child is seen as the “golden child” as for the younger they always get complained about so yea welcome to my world :(

My parents compare me (the oldest) with my youngest sister, even though we older kids know that the youngest child isnt always spoiled, we tend to look down and bully them, its because we don't feel loved either, but I can tell you if your parents had siblings then they would know how it feels.

dude, this is my older sister. she got 2nd place in her class and my parents always tell me to be like my sister. and also, they expect me to be first in class just bc "I am capable of it" . they expect me to not notice the favoritism of my sister. she gets everything, she got a driver's license, she got a phone, she got a laptop. but me, I got my dad's old and un usable phone. they always make me do everything while my sister gets her ass pampered and doesn't need to do work cuz "she is older".

I hate the fact that oldest and middle siblings made this stereotype for absolutley 💩 on younger siblings saying they are "spoild, dumb, crybaby, attentio seekers, favorite" ect. While praising themselfs and having the stereotype for "hardworking, adaptable, smart, rough childhood"...and im currently having a mental breakdown beacuze the only time i get attention from parents is to insult me and if i see someone say "but in my family the youngest is the fav/spoild 🤓👆" im gonna kms and i swear they say it only on youngest vents...EVERY. Im the youngest child myself and the only reason my brother exists is to make my life a living hell. No one understands how much pain the youngest sibling goes through, especially from thoughts that you're not as good as the other siblings just from being younger😢
