I first started skateboarding in 1976. When a skateboarding accident sent me to the hospital with a broken arm, it started me on a path that changed my life after I began shooting photos of my skate buddies. In 1977, I met Warren Bolster, the editor of SkateBoarder magazine, and was hired as a staff photographer at the magazine in 1978. To this day, skateboarding has continued to impact my life in so many ways.
