New C63S E Performance Launch Control POV | 4K
This is the new Mercedes-AMG C63S E Performance F1 Edition.
Powered by a 2.0 Litre Turbocharged 4-cylinder (from the A45), that has adopted a Hybrid powertrain which produces a combined 500 kW and 1 020 Nm.
It is important to note that there is also an electric motor inside of the turbo that spools it up at 24,000 RPM, to prevent any turbo lag. Essentially creating an "Anti-Lag" system.
AMG claims a 0-100 km/hy time of 3.4 seconds, here I achieve a time of 3.39 seconds. The conditions were warm, the tyres already hot, and paired with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tyres.
It also has an electronically limited Top Speed of 280 km.

Thank you Shane for the great review. I agree with you. It is a wonderful car that people are not use too. It does 0 to 60 in 2.9 seconds and every one is complaining about it. Their V8 does 0 to 60 in 3.7 seconds yet they would rather lose the race and go home and say but I won with the sound. Performance is the most important and the sound is second. Mercedes did a wonderful job with the car and hopefully people will buy it. I love this car and I would buy it if I was buying that type of car.

performance is not everything, sound and soul is just as good, thats why many old cars are cool they're viseral and not so fast!!

What car do you have?
When you take it for a breakfast run, when the battery runs out do you just have a the 2L motor? Then how long does it take to recharge as regen while in the run?
The cars not gonna be allowed to be part of the run even if it’s this fast

So, because it has the F1 regeneration system, if you put it in Race Mode and drive normally. Within about 5km you have 75% battery charge.
How has a car guy (reviewer) never driven a 204 or 205 before reviewing this c63s?
Because I’ve simply never had the opportunity. I’ve only been in the industry for two years and the older C63’s were long out of the Press Fleet

Why is everybody so damn upset about hybrids? Everyone who has driven one knows that the acceleration is so much fun! I drive an Seat Leon with 204 HP as a plug-in hybrid. I can't even begin to imagine the fun i'd have in something with more power!

I honestly think the later models of the w205 because it aruably has the best interior, a good balance between tech while keeping a traditional setup.

What a disappointment! They really left us speechless on how underwhelming this experience is… Where did the sound go? Where did the displacement go?? Where is the bloody V8 and the pops… They killed the iconic C63 and gave us this crap 💩
The direction has changed. There are rumours of the biturbo V8 coming back next year with the CLE 63
