Coospo H808S Heart Rate Monitor UNBOXING & REVIEW
Просмотров 11 тыс.3 года назад
This HRM has a pretty big potential at being one of the best heart sensors this year. I had no problem connecting to my phone or my bike computer. Once you put it on it beebs and you know its ready to connect to your device. It comes in quite cheap compared to other bigger brands and it does, if not just as good of a job. * It's a new model, not brand. Time Stamps: 00:00 - 2:21 - Unboxing 2:21 ...

I have had this set up for roughly the past 2 years. This is my honest review, i believe it makes a huge difference not carrying weight on your back. especially for longer journeys more than 10min. Its less tiring, keeps you more balanced on the bike and you don't end up with a sweaty back at the end on your journey. Let me know what you think if this set up, what sort of set up are you running...

I am going for a cycle on my birthday with Dylan Max Mom and Dad
It’s been two years so what’s your long-term review?
It should spin on quick release under load. So rack gonna touch tire after bump roads. Not really like this system.
Well done on the video. Dublin is really improving wrt cycling infrastructure but it will take a generation before we reach the standard of Amsterdam or Copenhagen and at least the government seems to be resourcing the project. Up to this point we have been slave to the car and at least we as cyclists are being listened to- roll on 👍
Dublin is old enough that many of the streets predate the automobile. The streets are narrow because they were designed for horse ,carriage ,bicycles and pedestrians . Bicycles and their riders have an equal right to Dublin streets as do cars because the bicycle predates the automobile.
Yes!!! My grandad built them !!!!!
Great video! Enjoyed watching it although the narrow bike lanes and having to ride on the left side of the road kind of scares me(I'm in Canada) lol visiting Dublin in late May and thinking of exploring the city and hopefully the rural parts with a bike if possible, since that's what I usually do on a vacation abroad. How is it now? Your video's from two years ago so I wonder if there's been any improvement. I'm just starting to do the research, so gonna look up more info but I'd like to see if you have more recent insights to offer. Thanks.
Is bike theft common in Ireland?
Did something change?
No 😂
can you upload
I recently moved to Dublin from Vienna and before that I lived in Novi Sad. Of the three, Dublin is by far the least cycling-firendly. I commute by bike daily because it is still better than other options, but it is mostly just white-line separated, non-segragated bike lanes that double as carparks outside of rush hours and shared cycling+bus lanes (which are crazy scary and I have not seen something like it anywhere else). Dublin has a LONG way to go to become a cycling city.
I love a lot of things about Ireland but the unsafe cycling and so being forced into a car is depressing
It would be great to be able to watch your videos on Odysee! 😃
miss those sunny days, man. Can't wait to get back on the fixie all day for the summer and get up to these antics (minus the wheelies lol)
Looks good and promising of more cycle ways in urban areas to come.
This rack does not withstand when the pannier is loaded asymmetrically. The rack slightly collapses to the side where a rack is loaded and touches the rear tire.
it did NOT take me 15 minutes to cycle from Mountjoy Square to Crumlin 😂😂😂 as a cycler myself I find Dublin very scary compared to cities like Barcelona or Brussels... but it is still doable, just be careful and wear a helmet.
A bike is way cheaper than using the bus and way way cheaper than usimg a car. Don't get why more people haven't cottoned onto this.
at 00:59, the birds answered your yeap yeap yeap yeap, is this common
Wouldnt it be better for cyclists to get an advanced stop line for when the left turn is red? Goes for extra visibility.
Perfect video. Thanks for the insight!
What about cycling in smaller cities?
Thanks for the video - I bought and installed the Axiom. Which clip on fender did you buy?
Im sorry dude but they are giving you scraps. Those lanes are a joke and we should be demanding more.
Oh dear, I've cycled new foreign towns with complex or unusual infrastructure, and I didn't understand it at first, especially when it's a new layer over an old layer that's still visible. I needed someone to stand there with some advisory billboards, or extra large sponge hands waving me on.. 😂
Love your video! As a Dutchman living in Ireland for 22 years I am still baffled by the "would never work in Ireland mentality " ;-)
I approve of Dublin becoming more environmentally friendly. However, my experience of Dublin Cyclists is that 90% of them do not obey the rules of the road. I am a pedestrian with a walking disability and countless times cyclists have violated my right of way at pedestrian crossings. Cyclists show some respect to your fellow Dubliners.
Hi . thanks for the review! What was the app that u used to connect with it? i haven't found any apps for IOS(
Strava app
You should do a video on your bike
Extremely useful tips! many thanks :)
The 'protected lane on 30 seconds, is not, despite the short posts. Short posts, wands, and other such segregation can and are easily breeched by motorised vehicles. Dublin indeed has potential. But we have a tendency to not maintain infrastructure (glass, debris..repairing...). In addition, infrastructure is largely piecemeal, haphazard and generally ignores best practice as exemplified in Denmark, The Netherlands... There is no consistency in design, signage, colour coding of paths, lights, conflict zones...throughout the country let alone Dublin. This adds to the already dangerous conditions. Until we, as near as possible, replicate the measures put in place to encourage safe, e.g. in Barcelona, we will do the usual Irish thing and just immaturely muddle along. Don't get me started on the previsions on trains for bicycles.
One of the best and most comprehensive real world cycling advice tips I have come across anywhere. Another great video. I only discovered your channel recently but you seem to have disappeared over the last year. 😭
I love cycling in Dublin and it really doesn’t rain as much as people think.
This is a very good video. I live in a rural area and just use one heavy U Lock in my local small towns as a precaution. But whenever I am in a larger urban area with a high risk I took two U Locks plus a cable lock and another cable threaded through the saddle. One of the most insidious things to see is just the saddle missing! I came out of a shopping centre some time ago in a bigger town and the cable lock was cut and cut marks on one of the U locks. I don't know if they gave up or were disturbed? Like in this video, I have often seen just one wheel left in this bike rack and with perhaps just one wheel of an adjacent bike missing too! As I said, it's insidious. I knew beforehand that cables alone aren't worth the cost of the cardboard in the packaging when you buy them new. I watched a video from the Lockpickinglawyer if I recall correctly, where he folded a single lock cable six times and using just one hand, he managed to cut through all six layers of the folded cable lock all in one go using a ratchet wire/cable cutter that was no bigger than an ordinary garden seceteurs you could carry in your pocket. Cables of any kind only keep honest people honest. The U Lock would delay a professional thief with an angle grinder for about twenty seconds to possibly a minute depending on whether the lock was Sold Secure rated silver or gold. Now when I'm in a high risk area I have a gold rated U Lock AND a newly purchased two metre Diamond rated chain and lock which weighs 5.3kg on it's own. And even that's no guarantee my bike would still be there when I get back. But a heavy hardened chain is much more difficult to cut than a solid U Lock especially when it can't be held against solid ground. Very few people intervene if someone is blatantly cutting a bike lock even in a public area. And if the person with the angle grinder just says that they lost their keys, what is the concerned citizen going to do? And if they are threatened by a gang of hardcore teenage gurriers like in this video, that will probably put them off any further intervention for life. Even if it was your bike, would it be worth risking getting beaten up just for a bike? A universal MANDATORY registration on an official online registry of all new bikes at time of purchase by officially registered dealers or retailers with the matching registration engraved clearly and irremovably into the bike frame before it leaves the shop is the only way to dramatically reduce organised bicycle theft. Anyone at anytime can check the registration on the website but to protect the privacy of the owner, all it will display to the public is the bike details; make, model, colour and whether or not it is stolen. And ONLY gardaí or police can flag it as being stolen after being officially reported to avoid any malicious manipulation of the service. If anyone is buying a second hand bike it only takes a minute or two to check online if it's stolen so there's no excuse for anyone to be in possession of a stolen bike. Ideally, heavy mandatory fines should be imposed for anyone in possession of a stolen bike. This would shut down the stolen bike market almost entirely. If it can't be sold, it won't be stolen. There are privately operated for profit bike registration schemes which only use the bikes description and the manufacturers model number but this is only partially effective, voluntary and requires a substantial annual subscription. This is the concise and shortened version of my idea. I have been thinking about this for just the last few weeks and I intend to pursue this. And this would be an ideal and easily implementable system on a European wide basis. We all know that bikes are stolen in one country to be sold in another. This would almost entirely stop this. It's simple, very cheap to implement and would do more to encourage general cycling and commuting than almost anything else in my opinion. Any additional thoughts or advice would be welcomed. And finally, NEVER EVER wear a chain lock around your body for transportation. If you are involved in an accident or crash it could lead to causing additional seriously aggravated injuries, especially to your spine. JUST DON'T!
Really nice video. Although you just couldn't seem to shake that crazy woman!
I don't live in Dublin and I've never really done city cycling but I'd love to cycle around the city like that sometime when the traffic is quieter. I must put the bike on the back of the car and drive up some sunny Sunday.
That was a beautiful ethereal cycle ride. Wonderful music too. Pity you dropped the f bomb.
Thanks for review. Please could you confirm the sensor charging. With a battery (CR2032) or a cable ?
Hi David! Yes, it comes with a CR2032 battery. No charging cable.
I'm thinking about buying a bike to cycle into college in city centre. But the roads terrify me. It just looks so dangerous
i Cycle to work from Clonee to Burlington road myself, so relaxing. I especially like Phoenix park in the morning
Dublin is a dump! Like third world country.
Great video and great comments down below too. I've liked and I will subscribe. I live in a rural area 100km from the big smoke and have been cycling quite a lot over the last two years but I have to admit that I would certainly be intimidated by the thought of getting on my bike or using one of the bikes for hire in Dublin in the middle of rush hour traffic without getting used to the cycling environment before hand. Scary! Is there such a thing as cycling lessons in Dublin? I'm pro cycling but also couldn't practically live without a car. I just use it less than I used to for local trips as time allows. Car's certainly do need to be redirected around certain areas to allow for additional cycling lanes. In Dublin and every other large urban area too Additional busses and Luas too. I know, stating the obvious there. Also possibly free car parking 6-10km outside of the city centre off every major route to allow people to park and cycle or public transport commute in the rest of the way? Also, and would I be wrong as a non Dubliner to suggest this...? Secure bike parking. Places with onsite security where there's one way in, one way out. Get your ticket/tag/whatever for a euro or two or three (? naively optimistic?) per day, paper or electronic, one for you, one for the bike. The bike can't leave if the two don't match. As far as I know, bike theft is pretty bad in Dublin. I'd certainly pay for peace of mind that my two wheels would still be there 8 or 10 hours later. I could go on with suggestions but us stable geniuses need to leave something for the rest of you all to think about 🎓😉 Safe cycling everyone.
Wow... huge improvement in O'Connell Street 🤗
Looks pretty good
Hiii thanks for the review, i saw this model on aliexpress and i wonder if the this still good buy after 8 month of ur use? Would u still recommend it?
Hey sorry for the late reply. I haven't used regularly in the past couple of months but it still works just fine whenever I throw it on.
It seems to turn on by accelerometer, not HR detection. I say this because mine sometimes beeps from the back of my car, after I have finished a ride. I have not tried disconnecting it from the strap after the workout.
Started cycling for part of my work commute at the beginning of the pandemic (drive half-way to a public parking lot, then cycle the remainder), for a few months before we moved to full time remote. Now I miss those morning and afternoon rides, even with the shared roads. Considering moving to Dublin for a new job, and I'm very glad to see that the commute would be possible on a bike. (As an American, the thought of driving on the left side in a city terrifies me way more than cycling ever has.)
Thanks for the comment Corey! I miss those commute rides too before the pandemic. Yes, Dublin is relatively small compared to other EU capitals and mostly flat. A general rule of thumb I use is: every 10km takes about 30min to cycle, this depends on riders physical ability of course and traffic etc. That's funny haha, because it terrifies me when I drive on the right hand side of the road when on holidays. Its something you can get used to over time I guess.
Don't think it's any more intimidating than cycling North Circular road through Summerhill and Seville Place .. and cuts out a lot of traffic.
Something for something
How do you turn the unit on?
It will turn on once you put it on your chest and detects a heart beat. You will hear a beeping noise and see a flashing light.
@@thecycledelicexperience4364 Thanks
Why would you say u hope you don't get stabbed !!!! & it's a walkway to its not only for bikes !!
Unfortunately I didn't feel safe in that area at that particular time. Yes there is a walkway along the side of the canal.
