What is this ? Is it real diamonds? Seems like it's another form of cross stitch. I guess the thrill people have about it confused me, it's almost like the cabbage patch dolls. Are these pictures worth anything when they become older?

They are called drills because they resemble the shape of a drill bit with their pointed ends and faceted sides. This shape allows them to reflect light, giving the finished painting a sparkling, diamond-like appearance. Additionally, the process of applying these drills onto the canvas mimics the action of drilling, as each piece is carefully placed and pressed down onto the adhesive surface of the canvas.

How does it get sticky 😊 ?
The canvas used in diamond painting gets its stickiness from a layer of adhesive that is pre-applied to the canvas. This adhesive is usually a clear, glue-like substance that is evenly spread over the entire surface of the canvas. When you start a diamond painting project, you'll typically find a protective film covering the canvas to keep the adhesive clean and prevent it from drying out or collecting dust. As you work on your diamond painting, you peel back small sections of this film to expose the adhesive underneath. Then, using a special pen-like tool, you pick up the drills (the tiny, shiny beads or rhinestones) and place them onto the sticky areas of the canvas. The adhesive holds the drills in place, allowing you to create the sparkling, detailed image of the painting. The stickiness is designed to be strong enough to hold the drills securely over time, ensuring the longevity of the finished artwork. This approach allows for precise placement of the drills and a clean, professional-looking final product. 😊

Impressive was going to ask I've got like 5 kits and different paintings they are brought from temu and what I wanna ask, are the colour codes the for the paintings the same colour for each painting and if so can I mix them to make a bigger stock pile of drills?. Eg 939 colour is a dark blueish black colour for 1 painting but the 939 for another painting is a black. If anyone can help me that would be great :)
I would love you to do the face of people we love ... We send you a photo of our loved one , you do you’re thing, printing the picture on a canvas and then send the kit back for us to complete and have a beautiful diamond art work that is a picture of loved ones or family members hanging on the wall.. Is it just a new idea or is it already invented?😊
