Never ending projects
UK F40 build, no airs and graces chat AND a Jack Russell!?? Instant sub!! If only for the people crying in the comments section about other channels... The t'internet is bigger than 'Murica you know 🤣
Beth the Jack Russell is getting a lot of love! Thank you for the nice comment, really appreciate the sub, we can't wait to show more!
Very exciting. Can’t wait to see your workmanship.
Thank you, a lot more go come very soon!
I was excited to see this videos but it was the most boring video I had ever seen. Content sucked.
We appreciate this video wasn't for everyone, this video was vital to talk through the history of the car and where we're at right now. Sorry it wasn't for you but we appreciate you checking out the channel
Following this build alongside, Ratarossa, and stance works. All wonderful projects and all the best to all three of you. 👍🏼
Thank you for your support. Hope you enjoy the series
You might finish that b6 3026 the speed you going at
Builds like this take years. Fortunately this will be done in summer. Thanks for watching
I love seeing these F40 builds popping up and the different approaches you're taking.
Glad to hear it. Enjoy our take on the series
I know you dont want to hear this but its missing one thing it needs to be all wheel drive it will literally complete the car i hope someone does this to an f40 one day it will be the altimate race car
Who knows maybe it will be achieved one day. For us though we're staying true to the original with the rear wheel drive utilising much of the original underpinnings. Thanks for watching
Years ago I was going loopy on one of the old bikes I owned (gsxr 750 srad carb version). Hurtling down the hogs back, when I came across a lovely F40.I pulled up beside him,and I really was trying to get him to have a race with me (of course he would have left me behind).I just wanted to see him pull away from me.But sadly he wasn't up for a race.I did have a good race with a 911 turbo on a K3/K4 gsxr 1000.I kept pulling away, then slowing down, letting him fly past them shooting past him again. He then gave me a nod,and with both went off in other directions.I guess I was pretty lucky looking back,as I rode like a nutter back then.Funny how seeing your lovely build has brought all those memories flooding back.Kind regards
What a fantastic story. Glad the car has brought back some of those memories. I hope the journey we have here continues to resonate with you. Thank for watching
You mean “Replica” not F40.
Of course, we don't want an F40 as they were 30 years ago. This carries the essence of the F40 with technology of the modern day. For that we need to start from scratch. Thanks for watching
The F 40 is an ugly car, it has none of the timeless appeal of a 275GTB or 250GTO, cars that would draw the eye of people who know nothing about cars.
Each to their own, the 275 GTB and 250 GTO are undeniably stunning cars, but the Ferrari F40 really came along at a time where the overall beauty of a car was sacrificed for pure engineering rawness, which in its own way, is beautiful to many including ourselves
@@ApexPerformanceGarage Funny, because technically the chassis is 1960's, suspension thrown together from a bunch of other cars and a body that compares to kit cars from a California garage. The truth is that it was a cobbled together thing from a race car design that no longer fit the rules and old man Ferarri saw the big dollars to be had during the price bubble that finally burst in 1989. People like the ultra rich Sultan of Brunei ( he bought 7) bought them as investments and most of the total production never hit the road, but were squirreled away alongside gold bars and famous paintings. All the automotive journalists who drove them gave negative overall reviews for the lack of refinement, one remarking that it reminded him of a home built Cobra kit car with massive power that shook the thing into rattles and shakes.
Adrian Newey recently spoke on High Performance about Midlands arrogance that was toxic when Jaguar F1 became Red Bull. This really feels like a renaissance where we in the UK shine, work hard and stay humble. Hard work and respect of global competition is an essential gauntlet because Mike Burroughs seems laser focused on his F40 project. I love and respect both builds!
Well written. We've a lot of respect for anyone attempting something of this level. It's hard work to see it through. We wish Mike the very best and hope to meet him on the tarmac one day. Thanks for watching our video
@@ApexPerformanceGarage to see both cars would be amazing!
You’ve got a new Subscriber here. Love the build!
Thank you so much, we really appreciate everyone who has watched this video and hit the subscribe button!
F40 LM
come si può distruggere una gto per creare una copia della f40, booo..
Not to worry, our chassis is from the salvaged Ferrari 328 GTS, not a 288 GTO
Looks like a proper build.
That's definitely what we're aiming for!
Wow your channel has exploded 😮 Great work guys 😎👍
We really can't believe it either, overwhelmed by all the support ❤️
@ApexPerformanceGarage yeah, F40 content is very popular right now 😍 I suspect there's a big cross over with stanceworks and ratarossa viewers. It's going to be interesting to see how all the builds compare. I am looking forward to seeing what you release next 😎👍
A fabricator / Mechanic finishing a car?? no.. NEVER!!
It's a rare occurrence in the car world but occasionally it does happen. Thanks for watching
@@ApexPerformanceGarage jason and tim who i have worked with at red car restoration in dallas did the gas monkey car back in the day (black f40) i remember the fun we had recreating the front sub frame!! I think this is very cool, and many jealous eyes will watch on, spoken to scott a few times, he'll probably need your help over the next however long. Looking forward to seeing how this turns out, i think it's a bit silly people comparing stanceworks f40 build to what you are doing. very different things.. and i think your engine choice is spot on. for what you are doing. Most important thing is do what you guys want!! and enjoy it. otherwise whats the point.!! xx
Sounds like you've gotten to experience it too. We'll happily help whoever we can on this journey of ours. If others are on a similar path but do things differently, all power to them. Great to see different approaches. Thanks for your support
This is a must higher standard of work than stanceworks rubbish
I'm sure Mike's doing his best, sometimes a part starts off as an ugly prototype which becomes a neat final part. Thanks for watching
@stanceworks I think you might want to link up with this guy
7:11 pet the doggo
Consider the doggo petted. Thanks for watching
good human, thank you
All talk no work. Getter done an then release the videos. Lol
Got to catch you up on the story before we show you the fabrication. Enjoy the series, thanks for watching
3 F40 builds, but all going in a different direction...awesome.
2025 is the year of the F40 rebirth!
Who's building the 3rd?? 🤔
@@redordead4491 i think Rattarossa, he begun way back in time, also officine fioravanti that as just relise the F40 resto mod
@redordead4491 we also have stanceworks
@luigivetuschi5246 thank you 👍
Hell yeah, 2 bespoke F40 builds happening at the same time and documented! Thanks for taking us along, excited to follow along. I’ve been in the process of building a wide body Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe so I 💯 relate to nothing g going as planned. Seems like I’m always re engineering even the simplest of things and there’s no how to out there for most of it. 🍻
That's the nature of custom builds. Hours of work can be laid to waste by a simple change. A labour of love and that's why we do it. Thanks for following along and do keep us updated, we might just have a Shelby Daytona here to show you too
God bless Brummies 🙌🏻
😂 Thanks for watching the video
X3 F40 tribute youtube builds at the same time . Who'll be finished first? My money is on this build for first.
Its fun to watch everyone's different approach to the same issues!
It’s funny how a shape moulded out of any material, can exude such passion and then cost.
Elegant but true way of putting it. Thanks for watching the video
This isn’t even an F40 lol, let alone the ultimate F40 😂
That's a fair comment, it is an F40 Build, not necessarily an F40. However, we like to think the updated genuine Ferrari V8 engine, genuine Ferrari chassis, with the Twin Turbos and plenty of genuine Ferrari F40 LM parts definitely credits it to being one of the best F40 builds in the UK
@@ApexPerformanceGarage I look at it this way: If Stanceworks is calling his project an F40 while not having a title or chassis, your car more than qualifies. You've got a really cool build going! I did have a question about the car, though. What's the process like for registering this? I'm from the U.S., so I'm not really knowledgeable about how things work in the U.K., but I'm quite curious. Do you have an F40 title and can you actually get this titled as such?
For us, we have to go through the IVA/SVA system. They check what you've done and either allow it to retain it's identity or give it a new one. We've ticked all the boxes to ensure it retains it's identity and therefore registration when it returns the to the road. The body panels don't come into the equation for something like this, which is why you see a lot of MR2 kit cars around that are still registered as MR2s. Hope that gives an insight to our UK rules
I like what you’re doing. Subbed and looking forward to more.
Thanks for the support. Enjoy the series
noticing the f1 front end in the background....
Foreshadowing of things to come.. Maybe.. Thanks for watching the video
@@ApexPerformanceGarage cant wait to see more on this and others!
@stanceworks would love to see a collab at the end of both builds. Two different approaches, but both done by incredible builders.
Thank you for the kind words and thanks for watching the video. Who knows what the future holds!
F40 nice but your little dog is much better 🐶❤️🫶
She's a good dog that's for sure. Thanks for watching
Отличный проект, с удовольствием буду следить за процессом Из России с любовь 👋🏻
We hope you enjoy the series. Thank for the support
You’re a mad man and because of that I’m now subscribed.
Thanks for the support we appreciate it. Hope you enjoy the future content
Just sub'd. Looking forward to seeing content on this. Always loved the idea of the older cars (Countach, F40 etc) with modern underpinnings. 👌
Thanks for the support, hope you enjoy the series. Perfect clash of modern and retro in one great car
🤔
We often have similar thoughts. Thank you for watching
Good stuff!
Thanks! Hope you enjoy the build
Stance Works RUclips channel is doing a similar F40 build
Same car, different approach. It's good to see. Enjoy our take on the F40
What a brilliant video 😁 looking forward to seeing more of these and obviously the old lady 🥰🙂
Thank you. She's a good girl, she will be back in future videos
Subbed
Thank you for the support. Enjoy the build
Awesome video loads of information and can’t wait for the next 🎉
Thanks for watching. Enjoy the series
Slap in a ferrari v12,m8. Or a new tipo v6.
The V12 idea has come and gone several times over the years. We're staying V8 twin turbo here. Thanks for watching the video
Truly a dedication of love. I’m more interested in this car than the new f80.
You have to have a deep passion for building something unique to see it through, we hope that comes across as series goes on. Thanks for watching
Liked , commented , Subscribed as I did see the Ratarossa video and always hoped it would get finished, Keep at it do a mix of videoes updates, time lapse ok for cracking on and StanceWorks channel is going next level too.
Thank you for the support. Here it is, and you get to watch it come to life. Enjoy the series
nice... and love the dog!!!!
Thanks for watching, we love the dog too.
damn, what the actual monster is that TT murcie at 21:50 ??? hope here will be more videos about those other projects . keep it up 👌👋
It's here too in the background, another creation. One you'll get to see in a future video. Thanks for the support
Looking forward to seeing more of this develop, great video too subscribed 10mins in.
Thank you Matt, we really appreciate all of the new subscribers
@stanceworks
We're love the Stanceworks build too!
2 recently being crashed, and 2 are being reborn. I am glad these things are being kept alive.
It was a shame to see. They will live on, no old Ferrari ever dies. Enjoy the build series, thanks for watching
The Stanceworks one is going to be a very high end build
There's no other way when building an F40. Thanks for watching
That's relevant...
@@ApexPerformanceGarage Looking forward to watching both builds
Yes,but the last project really had me interested and the build really ended up being a race car that was only used on the track. I would not build that F40 to serve the same purpose. I would just focus on creating a vehicle that was fun to drive.I would definitely prefer to have a vehicle that I was able to drive regularly instead of a track only car.
