This is normal and i got my flat ear pierced in both ears and due to anatomy i veen told by piercer and dont forget i got 5 pierced in both side which is normal and my nose so in total i got 11 piercings so trust me it noral to be wonky a bit 😂

It really depends on your anatomy and habits. An 8mm bar is what most piercers use. For thicker lobes, this is fine even when the swelling goes down. Your conch and tragus are pretty safe because they have room to accommodate the bar. But for a helix, you can move down to a 5mm or 6mm, depending on your ear. You don't always need to go back to a piercer, but you should always listen to what your body tells you. If you still feel it, it's not healed. Leave it alone.
