Mudflap UT-R07 Dumber repainted

In this video I do a mod on the doors of Mudflap, install my custom wheels and Paint him. Colors used: Tamiya Metallic orange, Gunmetal grey mixed with metallic black, titanium Mr hobby: metallic red, off white, gloss black, flat black, silver, chrome silver.

I got the new KO of MPM 14 Bonecrusher from TFSafari and decided to put him up against his older counterpart Dream Factory's God-09 Steelclaw (I know.. he needs a repaint) And did some comparisons of both and put him next to the main 1:28 line Mpm 14 and the KO are decent figures but there are some flaws.. here is my oppinion! Not the main figure itself but about the xp-14. What's the status of that figure. Do you have plans to enhance the back of the figure?
@@danielvicente9544 yes, still working on the back (hence the white bits) I removed the old tanks and made new ones but still want to fit them a little better in both modes. And then there are the rear fenders to sort

I like to have a UT Version of Bumblebee that's a little higher to Drift and Dino, but then i almost forgot about La Hire Hotrod 😅
@@richie4203 you can get XP-13 Bumblebee if you want, he is 20 cm, same as XP-15 (Barricade) they scale great with the HA versions to
in my opinion i think that the red dasher is better than dance death reasons robot mode looks way better and car mode sure red dasher hae no indivisualy articulated fingers like BS01 did but thats okay your really good at 3D printing maybe one day you can make indivisually articulated fingers for red dasher fact Dino model shop created a led head for Dino (mirage). keep up the good work ill make sure to stay tuned for all of your upcoming videos

I'm glad to see you back to Bayverse! I also bought myself this figure and my plan is to put the Dream Factory in altmode next to the Mpm-14 (i got the original one) in his bot mode. So the best of the two on display! But honestly, if I should ever have to choose one, I'll go with Mpm-14. The bot mode is just so stunning!

If it is as good as this KO, then yes.. this is a great figure and the quality is excellent

whats the size difference between the weijiang and xp 14?

@@eiramm555 I havee not tried that but it feels it should not work since the chest on XP-14 is made to hold the piece in place on the (old) abdomen, A new piece might be needed or it will not hold the hood pieces (that said the question is if it needs to hold.) I would use Sofbox his upgrade pieces for the MPM. I might figure that out someday to as I to want a DOTM Prime.

Hello RR, great vid. I was on the fence abt this figure but after watching this Ill probably pull the trigger Two unrelated questions, are you still working on that bs01 dino reshell kit? And do you know how well UT dino alt mode scales with mpm car bots? I thought he looked a little big but wanted to hear from the scale master himself first. Also very out there but anyway to give ut dino a real headlight chest? Its the main reason why im sticking with bs01 lol
@@ZuhairRao Brawn is worth it, he is a great figure. I am working on the BS-01 reshell but there is still so much to finish before that. The altmode of UT’s Dino works really well it is just that his altmode needs some love (and paint) and the robotmode is a little to big. Ill cover that in a review of him that is coming up. There is no way a real headlight chest could work.

Theyb are fakebusters leader class hands, you can find them on ebay and on aliexpress
The new face is a lot better but the helmet is still wrong. That's still the helmet from the Bumblebee movie. The new design in Rise of the Beasts is almost entirely different.

I used hands for a MPM Optimus, I think it was the G1 version

I think you're the first person in Europe to get this figure!! Great job! I was also hyped for this figures and felt a bit disappointed once It was released. This looks like a 2017 MPM, actually... It looks too inaccurate for today's standard, in both modes. I'm not getting this! I have the Dotm Twins as alt mode stand in and they are ok. No Bot mode at the moment, but the Twins are really not a priority!
@@andreatognonato2389 I can imagine they not being a priority but I feel that if they did make a figure, at least look at both modes first. With 2 maybe 3 changes this would have been a winner, a musthave.. now it is just Meh.. Maybe some paint can help.
Great review! Curious, how close is alt mode scale with the deluxe mudflap and mpm carbots. Im currently eyeing those the most as theyre the cheapest to get and look pretty cool. Also for UT mudflap, how much of the alt mode is in the torso? Im think maybe its possible to reshell the alt to be more accurate and give him a new torso. Would be a lot of work but maybe doable? Last thing lol. Do you know how well the studio series rotf arcee sisters scale with mpm bots? From what ive seen it looks decent however I cant say for sure
@@ZuhairRao the Deluxe wont work, they are to small at 1:32 where the MPM cars are 1:28. 1:32 (Deluxe) is possible if you get the Baiwei OS SS Bee and the mpm scale Optimus etc (all around 1:32) but you wont have a proper Jazz and some others (plus most of the deluxe cars are older/harder to track down) This UT-07 sadly is the closest to a mpm scale Mudflap. The only option would be to change the hood and front for a more accurate one and turn it inside out witch is a little above my skill level for now. A lot happens in that area that is crucial for the rigidity of the vehicle. The Arcee sisters from the SS series are MPM scaled, I actually am working on new (bigger) heads and bigger wheels since those are the only letdowns they have for both modes
@@ratchetrepairs Thanks for the info, Yeah Im noticing these old deluxes scale better with the MPM truck bots but needed to make sure with the scale librarian himself. Split the new rotf 3 pack with my brother for the motorcycles. I might pass on the UT twins unless they go for cheap enough.
@@ZuhairRao they range from 45-65 online if you look (Bombusbee has him the cheapest) but the MPM truck scale works really well to. The Arcee Triplets are a fun set.

@@kirill99953 yes! It is the Baiwei 1032, it is really close to a perfect mpm size. (1 cm to long) Ill customize him next 😉
@@ratchetrepairs Wow!!! I have only Studio seris be 1976 x)) It looks like quite a hard job to remake this toy?! - Into an adequate +/- mpm quality figure)) Tires rubber + metallic paint, some copper painted parts and red wires, the classic way to do it, haha. But 3D printing can do wonders..

I got mine today, but the joints are really loose. Anyone else have this issue? How could I fix this?
depends on what joints are loose.. sometimes it is as simple as tightening some screws, other times you might need to add a little floorpolish or some superglue (let it dry before reasembly)
