The mikro's a lil monster. light weight but packs a punch if you treat it right. I like brightness but if it's too much, idk, might consider a different set of strings, or pluck and slap the heck out of them so they lose some of that brightness and mess with the EQ. crank up that bass frequency and lower the highs. use external hardware or software cuz the knobs on it won't give you as much range as you might want. Setup's always changing, but most of it's digital. Too much to type in a comment. You're not the first to ask tho and I thought about makin an FAQ vid one day but I don't really see myself as a bass teacher. there are enough bass channels out there that will do a better job teaching about tips and tones than me lol Keep rockin \m/

@@dangerbruh1476 Completely depends on your setup and the sound you're after, but I would start with an EQ pedal. that way you can really fine-tune the tone that you want.

Direct in with DR Blues, compression, and lot of EQ, raising mids and backing off on bass frequency to pluck low notes harder. Thanks for watching \m/

@@DaestortionTV Nice. I use the DR Black Beauty. How's your compression set up? I freshly got one and still trying to dial it in I think I may have something that ups the sound I'm looking for. I also got the SamsAmp Street Driver 48 Frank Bello signature pedal, I will say you're getting the same sound without it but it is the best pedal I have and am enjoying playing around with it not only to get Franks sound as he provided all the settings in the manual but lists a few others outside of his sound. Keep up the great work you found a new subscriber as I did your other videos too.

@@WebProductions23 I add compression digitally (high attack and mid release if that makes sense). That pedal looks awesome. I bet it's great for live shows. Love the black beauties, I use them on my red bass. Thank you for subscribing \m/

Thank you very much for your kind words. Good eye, that is indeed, a starlight blue mikro that I'm playing! Blue is my favorite color, but I also play a transparent red one. I played full size for years (I've got an older vid on the channel, playing a full-scale five-string - A Violent Reaction by American Headcharge), but these shorties are a lot of fun and I play them almost exclusively now.

thanks! yeah, it's a hassle dropping strings that low. I ended up putting the low 4 of a 5-string on this bass, so I can play from B-standard and tune half step or lower if needed👌
