Unordered IO for Improving Performance and Efficiency of PCIe® Fabrics for AI/ML Applications
As the role of PCI Express® (PCIe®) technology expands in new areas such as AI/ML, PCI-SIG® has recognized the need to support multi-path fabrics with an ordering model to improve PCIe bandwidth and reduce latency while maintaining backwards compatibility.
Unordered IO (UIO) is a new feature added to the PCIe 6.1 specification that defines a new wire semantic protocol and related capabilities for addressing the limitations of the existing PCIe fabric-enforced ordering rules, while keeping the producer-consumer ordering model intact. Why isn't there a tier of membership for hobbyists, 4000$ is just too much...
The biggest and best Graphics Card in late 2023 did not saturate the"PCIe 3.0-16 Lane". Then the PCIe 4.0 found the same Graphics Card only really needed 8 lanes. 5 and 6 are just for storage devices and network devices, because Graphics Card technology CANNOT double, and double again, everything every couple of years.
What the FEC? Some diagrams would help!
There is no PCI 5.0 SSD so far and they are already talking about 7.0. PCI 6.0 version 1.0 is already released

Hi, flit with replay command as ack means seq number of the flit is tx ack nak seq number with the valid payload. Then, is received as error in the link partner means, how it can replay that ? becoz seq number is not for the flit specific. Kindly clarify this.

@@katakouzina It was for PCIe 3.0 And it was rumored that it will be 300W for PCIe 4.0 but nope, it still 75W.. Now if the PCIe 5.0 is still 75W that would be extremely ridiculous!!

@@katakouzina If PCIe 5.0 can deliver 300W to the GPU then any GPU that needs less than 300W won't need any cable from the PSU ! Which means like 95% of the GPUs out there !!
