@@sigma_z There is Percussion and there is hammering. I have been classically trained since I am 5 years old and if I ever hammered the keys like that, my teacher would have kicked me out and would have never let me play her Steinway ever again. Try doing that to a teachers Steinway and see what she says to you.

@UnientityRUclips I did it for 8 years at a very prestigious music conservatory from age 10 - 18 studying with 2 Steinway Bs and performing every month on Steinway Concert Ds mostly and sometimes Bossendofers and Faziolis. Notice that I don't pull away from the piano keys or do that claw thing that most idiot pianist thinks looks good but creates horrible unwhole sound. Lastly, I'm classicaly trained and have won my fair share of televised classical piano competitions in my younger teenage years. I don't want to have a pissing contest with you. I am sure you are a musical genius but this is the sound I wanted to create with this pop piano piece. I am able to create a whole range of different types of sounds I want from the piano depending on what I want to create. My piano technique allows me to do this with ease and the gymnastics of getting around the piano is easy. I play Listz, Chopin, Scrabin and Ravel easily and with musical maturity. This pop piano piece is what it is, pop.

@@sigma_z I currently own a Steinway & Sons (Model D) that I keep at my home and a Bösendorfer Imperial which is at Unientity headquarters in Manhattan and I have a Faziolis F308 that I play when playing on the road. I own a Yamaha CFX but that needs work done on it so I am waiting for my tuner to take care of that. I own a Shigeru Kawai EX Concert Grand piano that I use in play pieces. If I catch anyone hammering any of my pieces, they are out of a job. That is my pet peeve. My son is now learning and It took me almost a week to get him out of the habit of hammering. As I said before, you can hammer away all you want on your own pianos. Not mine or not anyone I know because everyone I know that plays professional are exactly like myself. You create Keybed wear, action mechanism stress, and strings and hammers being messed up. I currently have 2 students that I mentor and both would never dream of hammering near me. I played in the play wicked 11 months ago and the person before me was fired for hammering. The owner of the piano cringed when he would hammer on his Blüthner Lucid EXO. If that was my EXO, I too would cringe. The true sound comes from simplicity. Transitioning. It is extremely difficult to do this while hammering. I will make a video for you to prove my theory and I will message you when I release it. I will show you how it sounds when hammering and without to show you the incredible difference. It is like listening to 2 different songs. I played the piano in Central Park and held a mini concert a few years back and I would have woman lie underneath the piano and they would cry. You could not do this if you are hammering. You can not achieve that effect.

You sure own a lot of pianos. I wish I was as rich. FYI, I can create any color I wish on the piano. It's my toy. I can play pianissimo and very quickly like water shimmering in the distant. And of course, I can play by hammering :) My technique allows me to anything I want and although I am happy for you create your example for me to view, it's nothing that I cannot do already myself. :) An incredible amount of respect for you and your pianos. It's in my repertoire and I do perform it from time to time for friends and at weddings! Ha. I don't record often because I'm working all the time but I am looking to take a break from working soon so I'll do my best to make some time to do some recordings. You've humbled me as the are so many greater people out there in this world to look up to. I a very thankful for RUclips for allowing a way to have music for when you need to destress, funny videos when you need and laugh, and informative videos for when you need to do an over due test and you don't know what to do. I am hoping to make my own piano videos soon, but when I grow up, I want to repair, refurbish, and tune pianos for a living. If that does not work or I need a more stable job, I am going to go into car mechanics.

I really like your career choices and you could do very well with either a piano refurbishment company or a car mechanic. If I could at the same time offer some advice that someone very wise once told me. They said, if you try to make a living by following your passion, you'll end up poor. But if you follow the money you'll have the money to follow your passions. I'm doing the later. Although I have a Masters in Music, I also have a degree in IT. And it's IT where I make my money to be able to later follow my true passion of music and traveling 🙂 I truly wish you all the best Cayden. I hope you dream big and work just as hard to make your dream into a reality.
