this song always makes me cry. I have BPD and struggled with depression, there were so many wrong things in my life, and still are but now I have the power and energy to fix them.

This song makes me smile in quiet triumph. From very young, I have been told that, not only are my choices wrong, but there is something deeply wrong inside of me. These observations were probably correct. Yet I am still here, and have found my way. The best revenge is living well.

This song unfortunately describes my life perfectly, I was born in a good family that loved me but on my father and mother's side I had a serious history of mental illness and suicide from several of my ancestors, I also grew up in a very old house that had his own ghosts and demons, my mother due to her severe depression took her own life when I was 11 years old, everything started to go very wrong despite the fact that I already had a history of major depression since I was a child and I went to multiple psychiatrists from a very young age, i have a bipolar desorder type 1, after the death of my mother I tried with all my strength to lead a normal life but at 17 I discovered alcohol and drugs and everything began to go very badly for me, at 21 I was immersed in addiction although I always had excellent grades in the university, I believed that if I did well at university my family had no right to claim anything from me because of my addiction, I am an industrial engineer, at 22 years of age due to the prayers of my family I went to a rehabilitation center for a month and I was able to stop my consumption of drugs and alcohol and lead a normal life until I was 30 years old, at that age I discovered opiates due to a bad decision of mine and I went back to living hell, now I am 39 years old and although I have a normal life I have not been able to leave my addiction, sometimes I have thought about taking my own life but when I remember that i saw as a child how my mother's suicide almost destroyed my family I ruled out that option, I have no wife or children but I have a very close relationship with my father, my sisters and my nephews who are like my Children, thank God I have a family that loves me very much and has always been there for me, it is because of them that I have not dared to take my own life, right now I am in my first days without opiates but I feel very bad due to the abstinence syndrome, the good thing that has come out of all this is that I finally decided to stop and I hope that everything will get better and I will be happy again like when I was a child, in short this is my story and I hope that if someone reads it and also suffers from addictions and mental illnes through these words this person is also encouraged to stop, no matter how bad things are there is always hope.

This song runs so deep with me because in one wrong day in 2014, a collection of the wrong things and wrong people came together and was the very worst day of my life. This song encapsulates this period. It takes time to unravel the fallout from your shittiest moment(s), but every time you make something right, you move forward. You change gear. You make progress. Wrong and right are like ying and yang. One cannot live without the other. They both teach and balance each other out. Today, I may regret that wrong day, but I am blessed with the lessons it taught me and I strive to live my life as right (but not perfect) as can be.
