Clickbate BULLSHYTE. We bought an 86 Horizon/Omni with the 2.2/5speed w/1k on it, and was quiet and Quick, got 40mpg on trips and did 0-60 in 7 seconds. Put over 120k on it without an issue. So satisfied, we added an 87 4 dr GLH-Shelby and 0-60 was a little over 6 seconds, got 30+mpg! Put over 100k on that too! We wish we STILL had it.

That car doesn't look at all like the classic 1970 Chevelle. Why are the big three American auto makers always doing the wrong thing to sell cars? Bring back early 60s cars the way they were... and don't over-engineer them with new technologies (i.e. ESS, cylinder deactivation, VVT, CVTs, etc.) and computer chips. Cars can be sold for $15k by keeping it basic, but greed won't allow makers to do that. Engineer the cars so that anyone can do the maintenance. I personally, have had enough of the "modern platform", which is a big reason why cars are so expensive. And get rid of the greedy unions, and the overpaid presidents/CEOs.

not a 70s kid but love classic/antique cars GMs intermediate cars weren't allowed to have those engines prior to mid year 1970 and they also started stuffing them in compact cars like the Skylark Grand Sport or Chevrolet Nova etc. my late maternal Grandfather had a 1965 Buick Skylark GS Convertible when my mum and uncle Joe were young and Grandma drove an Impala at the time
