Only Yesterday | Matsumoto, Nagano, Japan travel vlog
Hi, guys! How have you been? This time, I visited 3 spots around Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture. I love Matsumoto, Nagano, as I have created another video before, and the purpose of this trip was to visit the largest firefly festival in Japan.
Upon researching nearby tourist attractions, I discovered a quaint historical sightseeing spot called Naraijuku and a farm that is rumored to have delicious soft-serve ice cream, so I stopped at both of these spots as well.
It's a short 5 minute vlog, so take a break and have a watch!
I will upload vlogs from Japan regularly, so please SUBSCRIBE :)🧡

Chichibu is a nature-rich place with hiking and river rafting, only an hour and a half from Tokyo. I can't think of anything these days. I don't want to talk to people on my days off. Is it the pressure of work, the dilution of relationships, age, the decline of the Japanese economy, or the arrival of spring? Just a vlog about walking around Harajuku, shopping and eating ramen. #livingaloneinjapan #japanvlog #japantravel

Normally, access to Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture, is by flight from Haneda Airport in Tokyo to Yonago or Izumo Airport. Ticket prices vary depending on the time of year. The cheapest time of year is about 13,000 yen one-way, while the most expensive time of year can be over 30,000 yen one-way. The price is higher during consecutive holidays and year-end and New Year holidays.

Thank you for watching video! I am sorry for late reply. Sightseeing in Matsumoto is better with a car. Matsumoto is a car-oriented society, so parking is not a problem. Depending on the facility, you may have to pay for parking, but it will probably cost between 500 and 1,000 yen. If you stay at a hotel, you can park your car for about 1000 yen or even for free.

@@tokyocuriosity I have been to Japan a few times, namely - Tokyo, Gunma (Kusastsu onsen), Kyoto, Osaka, Kobe, Hiroshima, Fukuoka, Kumamoto, Kagoshima, Sakurajima, Okinawa and the smaller islands Ishigaki, Miyakojima. That was before Corona though. This time around, I have a month and a rough sketch of where to visit. I got the 21 day JR pass, but open to fly if needed. I was thinking of visiting Tohoku (Aomori, Akita, Morioka), Hokkaido (Hakodate, Sapporo, Nobo), and/or other less trekked places like Miyazaki, Matsue, Beppu, Chiba? I guess I would prefer more of a smaller city feel, try out a nice ryokan, prioritizing good food, buying some artisanware (like Matsue tea goods haha), and not a completely remote inaka/akiya trip lol. I would prefer to refrain from driving if possible (less logistics), but I can if needed. I also have a motorcycle license if riding is better. I am not firm with present plans, and open to any suggestions! Sorry if this turned out to be a reddit post 🤣

@@rocketman3770 hey it's me on my other YT account (YT premium) haha. I ended up visiting Matsue and it was awesome! I did the boat tour around the castle, ate some good food, drank tea and ate wakashi sweets. Surprisingly, most if not all teas in Matsue are not even made or processed in Matsue 😂 They are often from Kyoto, and other areas. I had confirmed with the storekeepers. In fact, one shop (the oldest one in Matsue) even told me that Matsue's tea is bitter and Kyoto tea is more 甘い, so it is better 😂 I had stayed at Onyado Nono, and the whole experience was so relaxing. Sadly, as you stated, these smaller cities have a drought of young professionals. Sendai is also quite empty after 9PM, but likely for different reasons. I am on my way to Hokkaido next before finishing off in Tokyo. Thanks again for your video, it was super insightful and I didn't have to look up VLOGs for 松江市 😅
