@@Annieisntokay ОМГ??? я просто в шоке, честно говоря. спасибо огромное, что поделились вашим опытом соприкосновения с кишом, это для меня так важно и лестно??!!!! буквально моя любимая группа с детства и я до сих пор в неописуемом шоке с того, что мне удалось поучаствовать в культурном диалоге и общественной рефлексии (я такой важный птица 😭🙄) с помощью эдитов, когда вышел сериал. и ваши слова.. просто вау, в самое сердце! и я ТАК счастлива, что людям удается преодолевать свое предубеждение по отношению к кольцам власти, несмотря на огромное давление негативного общественного мнения. я нежно полюбила эту вселенную, именно сериальную, несмотря на объективные и субъективные вопросы к тому, как он сделан, и страшно рада, что мои мысли и эмоции (разные, не всегда позитивные, как в случае этого видео) находят отклик у зрителей. вау. ухожу думать + немножко плакать + возможно монтировать следующее видео по рандомному и неожиданному для меня фандому.

@chrl_ мне кажется, тут есть нечто общее. Многолетнее существование «лора» и «канона» в головах у людей, которые слишком долго во всём варились, и теперь не могут воспринять нечто новое/другой тейк на персонажей, отношения и т.д. С КиШом так же было по сути - всюду, абсолютно всюду те, кто знает, как оно было на самом деле и откладывает в праве на свою версию истории людям, которые тоже что-то и особенно кого-то конкретного лично знали. Но не будем об этом! Те, кому год назад сериал пронзил сердечко, думаю, до сих пор счастливы, довольны и рыдают временами. У меня по крайней мере так. Я и сама начала виддерить КиШ, писать по нему, и даже пытаюсь в написание музыки. Не уверена, что это случилось бы без киноверсии КиШа, она просто открыла портал, а вы подсобили. Раньше-то я всё мимо данной темы носилась, слушала исключительно англоязычный рок и воротила нос, когда во времена учёбы пацаны пытались меня приобщить к классике, напевая про какое-то мясо 😂 Так вот, да, очень много нового в моей жизни с тех пор. И сейчас смотрю на происходящее с Кольцами этими... Как будто дежавю. Я смотрела пока отдельные сцены в хронологическом порядке (шипперские, кхм), не всё, и нахожусь пока в раздумьях. Понятно, что у Колец есть свои минусы, но минусы эти скорее общие для всех адаптаций, выходящих в последние лет 5-10. А вот плюсы тупо даже в атмосфере, в подаче персонажей, их живости и неоднозначности - чего не хватает этим же персам в фильмах Питера Джексона, которые я так и не осилила. Возможно, я всё-таки по вашей милости упаду в новый омут, кто знает 🤫 Просто не буду трещать, в отличие от КиШа, друзьям об этом, в тишине кайфану, так сказать, self-indulgently.

oh THANK YOUUUUU you jusf FEEL ME. first of all, how do i connect the dots? i think WAY too fucking much for my own good 🤭😅 i swear this behaviour of mine has to STOP at some point secondly, thank you for your praise on matching the frames - it goes straight to my heart because towards the end i was kind of catching «what the hell was i thinking making eternal summer show × eternal winter show edit they do not match AT ALL» vibe, so my choice was really restricted and i do believe one can feel it while watching 😁😁😁 also i COMPLETELY understand your take on mairon × artanis - most often i do not feel this dynamic explored in any safe sane consensual way, so i kinda stay out of this lane, but i thought adding it here as a cute little detail and some kind of reflection of fandom dialogue woundn't hurt. even though as far as i know maia didn't have children form, teen!mairon-sansa really stole my heart. i also found it c(razy)ute that later in numenor gaaldriel had such a lovely blue gown and it kinda matched and i just thought i'll leave it there. once again, SO grateful for the opportunity to chat and share feedback! each edit is a unique journey for me the same way it is for you ❤️ lots of love and good luck on your au - i WILL be waiting 🤗

Unfortunately, I do believe that I have to take a break from rings of power and haladriel edits in particular, especially after my most recent and emotionally taxing edit. As for the song - while I do believe them and cherish your attention and eye for details, I have my set of weird rules about the music which I use to edit high fantasy and I rarely use electronics for it.. idk, it just doesn't sit right for me 😭 And in this case, as well as some others, I do believe my own ideas constrict me, but I will keep your idea in mind and, who knows, maybe some time later a way to incorporate it in my work will strike me! hi! i’m kinda sorry for the amount of words this response is going to contain, but- i’ve been going through a hard time recently and i’ve got to be honest - my craft and this youtube channel may or may not have been the only thing that kept me going. the ability to express myself through creativity is something i cherish deeply and your words made me feel seen in a way that i haven’t been for a long while. i’m so overwhelmed by your words about my shots choices - i was becoming so concerned about repeating the parallels that i’ve found earlier (and still like) and felt that my edits were becoming quite boring to watch. this is SO heartwarming to understand that some of the other frames that i added this time could be perceived in the broader context of their relationship. i count this as a little success on my part! i was kind of on the brink of crying while reading through your interpretation of the parallels (that i’ve spent 3 days pondering and then meticulously crafting in a sense of nervous mania - i felt that, when the show ended, i had to put out a statement, final interpretation of everything that the series had to offer and galadriel&sauron’s relationship made me feel) - all so correct and digging right to the essence of what i’ve been trying to say. and about the part of your comment about fire and death, as a part of him, fuelling their relationship - i want to share with a thought that came to me after i finished the edit (i am SO fond of over-interpreting my work and adding meaning to something that didn’t quite make sense to me at the time of editing but clicked later). i came upon this idea that however bright, pure and holy galadriel may have seemed to him, darkness in her (“I can’t bring him back”) binds them tighter still, especially in their numenorean days. and i believe she feels this too, which is why i feel this long shot of her after the "i felt it too" moment really clicks. because it is their thirst for violence, revenge, their anger that binds them in such a beautiful, conflicted way. and as i’ve already dived into it - the part with “when night comes along daddy’s left and momma won’t come home”. i thought it was quite interesting to tie this moment when halbrand|sauron, at his “lowest” point in adar’s captivity, suffers from nightmares of the past plaguing him, whereas after that we see him fully come into his power as weaver of nightmares in his own right, later in the season. and this dreamy nightmare of his, which he created for celebrimbor, while sparkling it with just a few details to let us know that galadriel is still on his mind (the pair with blonde she-elf and her attentive loving partner? red-haired and blonde little girls running carelessly around? oh mairon, you sick girl-dad, when i catch you-) ties quite nicely into his offer to her in the end of first season, although we, of course, will never really know what being his queen really entailed. i wanted to (tearfully) thank you for sticking with me from hotd era. to be honest, season 2 left me disappointed, if not heartbroken, with some of the choices made by writers. and i am so glad that those who found me through previous work are able to stay and find some inspiration and joy from the projects i’m doing now. sending you lots of love!

I was worried about leaving a long comment too, but at the end decided that it was very much worth it, and if the creator found it weird I would just apologize, but omg I could not even conceive of getting an answer such as yours back! I am so very sorry for all you may be going through, I'm sending you lots of courage (and virtual hugs too). I completely understand what you mean when you say your ability to express yourself through your creativity is something that you cherish deeply and makes you feel seen. I think that's a wonderful way to speak on the feelings one has over their craft, and I find myself relating to it more than I can express with words. I will mention that your edits never became such a thing as boring. On the contrary, I could always tell they were deeply emotional products, which touched me deeply - some more than others. This was the one that made me feel like I was watching a full length movie - making me feel a rollercoaster of emotions. I completely understand what you say about house of the dragon (I assume you were talking about that show at the end when you said that haha) and how disappointing the writing was for season two. As the biggest Alicent fan in the world (self-proclaimed), I felt it treated her really disrespectfully, immaturely, and also childishly (She would never just abandon everyone she loves, I get losing hope in her sons and her power, but not even sneaking them out of kl or sth like that? The writers were just being stupid at this point). And tbh, I think it's only going to get worse from here sksksksksk but at least we'll always have edits and fanfiction and the brief (very brief) interesting moments the show provides us with for inspiration! Now, back to the positive! I feel we haven't seen the last of saurondriel at all, and even if they never meet again (which I think they will) the parallels that they will continue to gift us with will be SUBLIME. I can understand your desire to put out a final thing for them to showcase their relationship, but I would be remiss not to tell you that your anxiousness was unnecessary, dear heart. If this was always meant to be the result, there was never a need to worry. And even if this was your worst edit (which it by no means is) that would've still been just fine. You should never sacrifice your mental health for your craft. Also, I am very glad my parallels are correct, hehe. And what you said about darkness binding them tighter than light... THAT'S SO TRUE. I do think they're locked in a dance, where light continually wins against darkness, no matter how small it may seem, but the darkness always seems an almost unbeatable force! That is true both in theory, because of what they represent, and also in practice because of who they are as people, not concepts. Galadriel makes Sauron so much worse, and he makes her worse too. That's an overwhelming amount of darkness and YET Galadriel wins at the end. That's fascinating. I had forgotten about a lot of things that happened in the first episode of the season I've come to find lately, hehe. So I remained partially unaware of the nightmares Sauron was having and how you tied it all together, but it makes so much more sense now! Bravo. And oh yes, I noted the blonde she-elf with his partner that he watched (And the stallion too! That he once compared her too, like WHAT). But I didn't look too hard at the children and omg you're right... Red-haired and blonde... Someone lock that man up in horny jail, he's NOT over that breakup. Finally, I am very lucky we both discovered hotd and trop around the same time. Sending you lots of love too! I am very glad I could help! More than you'll ever know.
