If seto had lost the duel, Pegasus wouldn’t even need to battle seto to get the big five to join him. Pegasus would just need to win against yugi. And so without needing seto anymore, pegasus would have his servants kill seto. With nearly all seto’s workers and bodyguards and butlers betraying him, he wouldn’t have much protection. And they would eventually kill mokuba too after scanning his stomach and making a replica of the key that mokuba ate. Or they would just kill mokuba and tear out his guts to finally get the key. No need to keep mokuba alive since they had also been using him as a way to get seto to corporate with them.

What exactly was the point of this and the last episode? I mean, I guess to make seto look cool and give him some redemption? But they didn’t really have to go and say seto is a ghost and try to look like him. I mean, really Pegasus? That’s more pathetic than stealing stuff from a guy that’s been stuck in a coma for 6 months. The ghost idea was especially dumb because how could seto be so obsessed with wanting a rematch with yugi that he would become a ghost to do it? I mean, yeah, seto is obsessed with wanting to beat yugi, but he wouldn’t help Pegasus to do it. Seto might’ve went so obsessed with wanting to win and defeat yugi that he tried to kill yugi and his friends about 5, maybe 7, times in one day. But still. With his ego and pride, he wouldn’t help Pegasus. I guess since the show cuts out seto’s and yugi’s most important duel (death T 5), it completely changes this whole arc. I mean, do u really think kaiba corp could get taken over that easily? Seto is way too prideful to let it get taken over just because he was mad about losing a duel. He would still be taking care of his company. In the manga, Pegasus is able to take over kaiba corp easily because seto can’t actually do anything about. After yami beats seto at death T-5, he mind crushes seto and he’s stuck in a coma for 6 months.

ya know, even though kaiba has a huge sercurity system and is rich and was always carrying around his deck, i’m sure it was pretty easy for them to steal it. I mean, it’s probably pretty easy to steal stuff from a guy who’s been stuck in a coma for 6 months, after all.

Is it just me, or does it seem like all the most powerful gamers/duelists (or at least the ones that the people say are super powerful) are all cheaters except seto kaiba? I mean, just look at the spirit of the millennium ring. He cheats by the way he spins the dice and uses brainwashed dice when he plays the monster world board game. Then yugi is always switching out with yami and taking credit for games that yami won. And the whole “heart of the cards” idea isn’t that yami draws the card he wants because of his friends, but more like he is getting the right cards by using his own powers of darkness. Even Mokuba cheats in the capsule monsters game by making it so yami has to use low level monsters and mokuba gets all high level monsters. Mai valentine who was known to be really powerful (even though She never won a duel onscreen) was cheating by using her perfume trick. Pegasus cheats by reading minds. Ishizu cheats by using her millennium item to see the future. Joey cheating by asking yami what to do next. The ventriloquist steals kaiba’s deck and uses some kaiba puppet while he duels with yami to make him so angry that he loses his concentration. Etc.

This episode is so weird. Why on earth would they put this in? A ghost? He looks more like a zombie. I would think since the show cut out the death-T arc (if u want to watch it, watch yugioh season 0), they would just completely skip over this part. But I guess the show has just gotta make sure to show yami as looking like a real nice guy.
