You are doing great with the shopsmith and the videos in general. I only.have two pieces of light advice. Break old screws loose by hand first. Second a good broom makes a big difference. And since im here, your fake fall was pretty good. I'd like to see a second take with more emotion though.

Wood recommend the use of a mitre gauge or crosscut sled for cutting the panel to its finished length. Cross cutting against the fence is an invitation to a dangerous kickback when it binds up. Nice job on the project!

You did a great job Wesley!! It's good to see Gen-Z interested in these hobbies. I'm sure your dad would have loved that gift!! And those grains on top surface - they look so beautiful!! Nature is always right they say!! I love making such small wooden items myself, and it was fun watching you do this with so much interest. Looking forward to seeing more from you!!

You are simple, hands on and that box joint is better looking than all the others I've seen! Making a box frame for a floating bed and this Joint will help me make it stronger! keep doing what you are doing please! THANKS!! ❤❤❤❤

Nice vid. Beautiful piece as well. Can I offer one minor piece of advice? When pushing wide boards through the tablesaw you should be pushing in the center or if anything slightly closer to the blade side of the width, not on the fence side. It can cause kickbacks to push on the fence side. I see you have a riving knife on your saw, which should prevent this issue anyhow, but it's still not a good habit. I'm not trying to be a jerk, just some friendly advice. Edit: I should have waited to comment until I finished the video. That isn't just a beautiful piece, it's an heirloom quality, hand crafted work of art... There, I feel better.

The author does like to from scratch, ruclips.net/user/postUgkxbnOKZBE4evMO5V2vroHeCjq6d_MV6wJO shaping and trimming wood from large blocks into fine finished products. As another reviewer mentioned, most projects require a lot of high-dollar equipment that most of us don’t have the room or budget for. But, knowing how to do these things, even if we won’t be able to practise the full stack project, is still great.

Nice video. Glad you gave Mark kudos. It was interesting to see you going along the grain in your routing. I wonder if that made the bench any smoother than The Whisperer ended up with by going across the grain. I have a Rockler bench that I need to flatten after three years and both the videos have helped me prepare. Thanks.

I bought this as a gift for my friend ruclips.net/user/postUgkxcZqgZ8Ynkiz5n_LxIWRlAicuzmz5kCHG who is just starting out in the world of wood work. He loves it!! There is a great section on different wood and what to use for what kind of job and a similar section for tools as well. The projects in it are things you probably would have a go at with clear instructions, pictures, videos and diagrams throughout. Great for a beginner/amateur wood worker.
