How does a person end up dying in their sins? Jesus graciously engages the religious leaders in a discussion on this topic, and sadly, they never do get it. Let's make sure nothing like that happens to you.

Jesus finished His confrontation with the religious leaders and then heads off to Galilee. While there, enormous crowds gather. We'll take a look at why the idea of sending the people into the city to get some food was utterly ridiculous and how Jesus handles the disciples' lack of true concern for the multitude. Four Judgments Jesus Executes | John 5:19-24
Просмотров 953 месяца назад
In tonight's study, Jesus very clearly doubles down and claims to be God Himself. One of the ways that He operates fully as God is to be the judge of all things something only God could do. In this study, we'll take a look at just 4 of many judgments that God executes so we can be prepared for now and what is to come. Fascinating study! Bible Study #240

All we can do is pray and proclaim the gospel message (the good news) to others we meet. It's up to the Holy Spirit to convict them but it requires each person to have ears to hear and accept the truth of the word of God. Unbelief becomes terminal when you die without accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. Unbelief is terminal when those who are in the final 7 year tribulation take the mark of the beast.

Hi Barb! We believe that baptism is an outward expression of an inward decision to know and follow Jesus. It doesn't make you right with God ("save you"), but is an act of obedience after salvation. That's a nutshell of the concept. Let me know if you need further clarification and thank you for asking! ~Anne

The new testament says no one has ever heard God. The way 'Adam and eve' deduced that they must not eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil is because of Genesis chapter 1. It says God gave them trees with fruit yielding seed. Symbolically fruit is a product...something produced from the tree. Plus, what has told us the knowledge of good and evil? The law. Plus, what is the seed? Christ. So...the doctrine of what God gave them to eat was trees that produce 'fruit' (the out put of something) which produces Christ in you. Like Paul says. So knowing that...that God gave them trees that have fruit yielding seed...they knew the tree of knowledge of good and evil wasn't edible. The tree (law) produces religious works (not Christ) that make people compete for who's doing a better job, who's watching me,how holier than thou do I look, how much can I deny myself or make things hard for myself to prove I'm 'godly'. The tree of life ( spiritual application) produces life!! Spiritual application reverses the power of death. 'Death' isn't killing the physical body, it's killing the old man, the flesh nature that is bad, and repenting of that nature and turning and living thru love. Which is living godly. Pleasing to God.

@@gnosticgnative8931 Thank you for taking the time to look that up! If you look at the context of the passage, this is not something that Jesus is addressing concerning the entire world (in your words, "no one"), but rather speaking to the religious leaders who were furious with Him for healing on the Sabbath. His point to them is that they are lost... they do not know God, they do not hear His voice, and they don't have His Word abiding in them. Here is the verse in a broader context (but I'd encourage you to read the entire chapter): "37 And the Father who sent Me, He has borne witness about Me. You have neither heard His voice at any time nor seen His form. 38 And you do not have His word abiding in you, for you do not believe Him whom He sent. 39 You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; it is these that bear witness about Me; 40 and you are unwilling to come to Me so that you may have life."

Im concerned that you use the word “stupid” and “idiot” so flippantly. Mathew 5:24 “whosoever shall say “thou fool” shall be in danger of hellfire”. I think the Bible says what it means and means what it says . Time to improve your vocabulary. I also disagree that Jacob’s mother, Rebekah, was ‘righteous’ and unlike her brother, ‘Laban. Rebekah schemed, lied, and manipulated. Jacob fell into that as well. Jacob grew in his relationship with God, like many of us do. A lot of spiritual growth seemed to come when he reaped what he sowed from Laban.

I once thought this chapter was out of place but once you see it; you can’t unsee it. Look at all the elements like the term הכר-נה. Recognize please only happens 2 times in the Torah. In chapters 37 and 38. Everything Judah does to his father happens to him. All the elements of chapter 37 is in 38. They both lose a son for evil. Joseph the evil report and Er being evil in the sight of God. Both lose two sons and both hesitate in sending a third child.

A Levite is supposed to marry only a Levite or an Israelite. They are Physical Temple Servants. Also, your Heirs receive your Name and your posesions. But if you died before you had children you will have no Heirs at the resurrection. Judah(YASHUAH) is the tribe that fills the role as the Servants of the Spiritual Temple. I believe Tamar was a Judahite. Judah's sons, Er, onan, Shielah were mixed. Not Israelite. A Brother can provide the DNA that the dead brother could very well have provided. It is a way to ensure the physical bloodline is preserved and the Resurrected dead brother that didn't get a chance to continue his Name has his Name preserved for the future and ensure that there are Judahites for the SPIRITUAL Temple Service.

At around the @7:00 mark, I found the discussion concerning having everyone together in one place at Jerusalem interesting. Particularly the answer in that this was a one time event, and the importance of having everyone in one place. It got me thinking about an incident where Yahweh told Moses to gather elders, so He would take of the Spirit that was on Moses, and place it on the elders. This is found in Numbers 11, starting in verse 16. In that incident, there were two men who stayed in the camp. When God placed his Spirit on the elders, they began to prophecy. The two who stayed back in the camp, God's Spirit still came upon them, and they began to prophecy in the camp. Scripture tells us a young man ran to where Moses was and told him what happened in the camp. Joshua urged Moses to stop the two men from prophesying in the camp, but Moses makes a very prophetic statement in his exhaustion. He told Joshua that he wished Yahweh would pour out His Spirit on all His people, that everyone would be prophets! Haha, it looks like Moses got his wish!!!😎

Tamar knew she had to keep the bloodline pure, Judah having married outwith his tribe, therefore the sons were the problem, hence God killed them. When Judah's wife died and Shelah had come of age, Tamar knew what she had to do. Tamar must have been a pure bloodline. Just like Noah, who was righteous in his generation, Judah actually tells us Tamar was righteous also, more so than himself who had not kept his generation pure.

Isaiah : 46 9Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, 10Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure: This is just what God is showing us here; the virgin birth God being the father. Illustrated by Tamar and Judah Tamar was a virgin, according to the levirate marriage law that is enforced in this chapter, God is showing us that a virgin will be given to the house of Judah, she by a series of events conceives by the father, the heir of the promise. Zarah is a type of Christ, who by his bound hand, makes away for his brother to inherit the promise. Then he whose hand that was bound comes afterwards. god like Tamar wasn't out to get Judahs goat, but to create a eternal inheritance

It makes them elite not like everyone else.. The real teachers would never think they know everything about the Bible and are humble enough to change their minds, their open to other opinions.

Fares and Perez are the Persians and the Medes also Ruben threw them him in the pit where there was no water, so when Judah saw the Ishmaelites traveling, said what good he 13:55 dead to us? Why don’t we sell him for money 💴 but really he wanted to save his Joseph life Judah did remember, Ruben was very and I I’ll behaved. He slept with his father’s wife.
