As you don’t use the tripod head for adjustment the level, is the pro 3 not as critical for aligning the scans if the camera isn’t level
You're right - the lidar means that scans can be stitched much more easily - with the pro2, getting it level and consistent was much more important.
it would be great a video showing the workflow of matterport pro3 on site capturing a point cloud on a small job

Yeah it has a laser scanner rather than relying in infrared like the Pro2 did, so it works outdoors. Hopefully we should have some nice outdoor data to share on our website soon...

Zoom95 has less keys - 25 vs 35 and operation time up 8h instead 7-10h + the video is mirror inverted.
@Abel Parker The video. Keybord is on left side. In real it is on right side + you can see Geomax as xamoeG and Zoom as mooZ . Geomax uses Leica hardware but has different software. Geomax X-pad looks better than Leica Captivate. Worked with leica and software is terrible. Geomax has better user friendly interface. If you work with codes as road, building so forget Leica. It has very strange code system. Geomax has better and similar to Trimble ruclips.net/video/WPkIXbMwRl8/видео.html but is limited to 3 groups i think about 4x5 codes per group but you could contact Geomax if "fix" it. You can try simulators, www.surveyteq.com/download.php for Leica and apkpure.com/geomax-x-pad-survey-trial/it.geomax.xpad3trial for Geomax. If you use x-pad from Google app, you must use phone because of bluetooth. Maybe you can buy Spectra focus 35, that has new software and looks much better that replaces awful Survey pro and looks like Trimble Access but no simulator or more details about it yet. Where do you live?

@Abel Parker It's usually used when talking about using both GNSS and total station so you have a hybrid system, though maybe he's using it in a different context - and SurvPC is a Carlson software I think (we tend to sell with X-Pad)
Good video, I like the jokes. Where can I get one of those brackets? I use a Panasonic fz-m1 like that one on a bracket meant for a Juniper Mesa 2. That one looks like it might be more secure.

Hello , Please can you tell me if I can use the X-Pad for DTM as one will normally do with Leica Instrument?
Yeah, you'll need the Surfaces and volumes module which isn't in the basic package but DTMs are no problem, and nice to visualise in the CAD viewer. You can also stake out surfaces directly.

Love the look of this instrument! but hardly heard of Geomax. where can I find out more info? specs? software it uses? compatibility with desktop software?

And in terms of software, it's an open platform so you can run a variety of things including X-Pad, Field Genius and Carlson, but we generally recommend X-Pad. You can upload in several desktop-friendly formats, but X-Pad has its own desktop version too, called X-Pad fusion.
I am on the fence about buying one of these or the Leica TS13. I already have a zenith 35 base and rover and a Leica gs14 base and rover. I would choose the Leica 100% of the time over the geomax. Does anybody have any experience comparing the zoom90 to day the TS13 ?
I can't really talk about the TS13, but why not do a free trial of the Zoom90 to see if you like it? You can book a free trial here - www.workswhenyoudo.com/ or directly though Surveytech if you're based in London/ South East. If you've already got a Zenith35, it'll work really nicely if you ever wanted to mount that on the prism and toggle between the two using X-Pole...
