I tried REALLY hard and mine is a dumpster fire. Sewing has always been one of those things I wish I was good at but causes me a lot of frustration. It was a great demonstration but my seams ended up not matching up and then I had puckers in the fabric and then it just kept getting worse. And I ripped the whole thing out three times, I gave it a great effort but my fingers are too sore to try again right now. 😆

Hi just found yr channel by chance great vid ty x I generally turn my Bags through the pocket but it has been extra hard on some of them I've seen ppl use a hole in the lining but I've never tried it as I was worried it wud be a bit Messy but the tip of pulling the link g thru the zipper pocket to stitch it then stitching the pocket is a great tip ty Was just curious what you used for ur lining on the bag as it seams quite thick?? Pls

Good trick with poking the corners of the interior zipper pocket to make sure they're crisp! Where did you get the exterior grey canvas from? I love it!

Hello and thank you for the video. I love the bag and ended up purchasing the pattern. I am needing tags and hope that you can help me in what size tags to order as I am new to this. Although your post says two years ago I just came upon your quilt restoration because my daughter-in-law asked me to restore a well loved quilt her grandmother made for her. You really appreciate the love ❤️ your grandma infused within the quilt. I think your fabric selections were very good choices. If you have not already finished the restoration since your grandmother liked cardinals and you want to incorporate a few squares replacing a few flannel squares follow through onto the backing. It looked like you had enough yardage to also use the cardinal flannel as part of the quilt backing. If you don’t have enough, sew with another flannel strips so the backing will be all flannel and will be substantial enough for TIE quilting. My grandmother used Crochet Thread (on the double, using two strands) NOT crochet yarn and make tight knots. She used it because she also made beautiful starched crochet doilies. Hope my suggestions will be helpful for you to keep a cherished memory. PS. Don’t forget to sign and date a label with your grandmother’s name and your restoration date. 😊😊

I have tons of 20-40 inch and even more one to two inch 60 inch wide strips… you done an amazing job love dimple dots,, they make great wash rags bc of the knots they help exfoliate

This is the best demo I’ve seen about sewing with minky fabric. But I have decided never to use minky again. I really wish I would have seen this video before I attempted to sew a baby blanket, mine was a total failure.
