Fortunately we never experienced those floods when my "late husband" was stationed at Fort Bliss. Now that I own a home in Vegas, we have "flash floods" quite a bit here.

Gene, your right, and every ten years they add on a new tax on our water and trash collection bill that city council passes to fix the drainage issue but I think it just an excuse to raise the rates. If your a life long El Pasoan then you know that weather like this is just what city council loves to have an excuse to raise our taxes, as if they weren't high enough.

I've lived here for 55 yrs and what I find the funniest is for as long as I've been alive about every ten yrs on average it floods like this in the northeast- and the more the city does to so called solve the problem the worse it gets!

Central is usually the first and usual to place the drainage is horrible. Far east not so much, and I think the west is not as bad. Is your truck lifted?
