Hey Ms. Cunnington! It’s me, Preston! It’s been a pretty long time… Almost a whole year! I just wanted to make sure everyone is doing okay and they still remember me. You did great as a choir teacher! This video did great aswell!

When I was in high school our band played a piece by Vincent Persechetti who had a knack of writing music to make amateur wind ensembles sound amazing. Eric Whitacre has now performed the same magic for amateur choirs. These kids sound like a professional group.

I’ve listened to every performance of this song You Tube has. How cool is it, that a group of high school kids offer the quintessential example of how this song should be sang? The only video that comes close, is the Westminster chorus, and the camera man’s fumbling with the camera, totally ruins it for the Westminster chaps. The manner in which the instructor employs the high schoolers voices, in conjunction with the acoustics, is phenomenal. Just wow!

This play, was so fun to act in… very happy to be Roderick (not in this recording of the play, but in general)

Being Roderick in this play (not this exact play that’s being recorded, just in general) it was actually really fun, but it was in middle school, so we weren’t allowed to do the newse and the bandages part… yet we were allowed to do the scene with the pills…makes sense right?
