About Jim & Val: Jim is a disabled veteran and Val has a small online store she’s been been selling on for over 20+ yrs. We are not travel agents and aren’t going to try and sell you a trip 😉 we just like sharing places and things we have done.
The past 10 years we have made travel a top priority. Traveling, cruising and going on lots of adventures as much as we possibly can. Been to Puerto Rico, Netherlands, Belgium, Mexico, a Mediterranean Cruise and French & Italian Riviera cruises! So many places!!
Now empty nesters we have more time to go on new adventures. Last couple trips have been a lot of cruises, but we do a lot of road trips and regular travel as well. Can’t wait to share these adventures with everyone!

Our last port of our last cruise before heading home! Onboard Royal Caribbean Voyager of the Seas and we decide to explore Old Town Nice France on our own. Vieux Nice, France. Vieux Nice is the city’s vibrant old town, with narrow cobblestone streets and pastel-hued buildings where shops sell everything you could want on a visit to France. We first get breakfast in the Villefranche-sur-Mer the port that our cruise tenders into.

Yes, they are!
The problem I had with the thermal suite is that it's under the weight room, so just when you get relaxed, BOOM! Somebody drops their weights on the deck right above your head. It really ruins the experience. Further, the Radiance Class has windows where you can see out, where the Oasis class does not.
Thanks for that additional information! We want to try another thermal spa on a different ship. 🚢 soon maybe

@@leeorplotkin3241 Jim needs a more relaxing day with his PTSd so we try not to be rushed around too much. We really do want to do the Cinque Terre but next year not on a cruise!!! The food we bought could be brought back to the US there are some things we can’t but as long as it’s a sealed pack it’s usually ok

You should and have to, to use the chairs. I’ve known people who just swam a little without buying a drink. We won’t use the pool it usually looks kind of cloudy and nasty.
Thank you for this video...a good alternative for those not wanting to do an "Amazing Race" to Rome (some didnt make it back on time). Also, it was so nice watching Oasis sail away that evening...good memories

Yupppp! Unfortunately!! Sea days we went to the casino more than we should, cause we were bored. If you have a lot of port days and few sea days you should be fine! We only like these kind of ships for heavy port cruises. No time to be bored if you’re at a new destination everyday!!

A 15 euro round trip ferry ride to Porto Venere is a great way to spend a day (or at least a half day) while your cruise is docked in La Spezia.

Was this May 18, 2024? If so, we had just gotten off and got on that purple bus and rode to Venice. After 21 days, I was ready to start working my way home. We had a balcony for the TA, and did the Royal UP for the Barcelona to Ravenna leg. We got a spacious ocean view on the front of the ship, 12th deck. Floor to ceiling windows
Yes!! We got on May 18th then did a B2B! First week a balcony, 2nd week a spacious ocean view but without the big windows…. I was really hoping to get that upgrade!!! We did a transatlantic on Voyager of the seas from Galveston to Barcelona then flew to Bologna to get on Explorer! We so glad to be home but ready to get back out there too lol 😂
@@JimandVal you got on as we got off. Next year, Ovation from NJ to Rome/Greek Isles, and back to Rome.. probably going to Florence for a few days before back to FL. Then my wife wife got crazy, we booked the Brilliance Barcelona to Southampton, then Glasgow, Iceland, Greenland and Nova Scotia before finishing in .boston.
@@jonkrispeterson6678 I did also book a transatlantic in April 2025 😀 ends in Rome on Odyssey of the Seas. We had 2 cancel 4 cruises this fall due to babies, weddings and graduations….

Our last cruise was 21 days on the explorer, and next up is a week on Quantum. But then 5 weeks later, Vision of the Seas for a Bermuda cruise. It will seem small. But the in the spring we will be 21 days on the Ovation, so we will know where everything is. So glad for the abundance of US plugs.
Our next cruise end of Aug. out of Cape Liberty on Liberty of the Seas. Then Nov a week in Orlando Florida not a cruise. January/Feb we have b2b2b out of Puerto Rico. We loved the Alaska cruise! Definitely one we would love to do again!!
