2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0 overheating tech tip!
My wifes Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0L came with an electric radiator fan and no mechanical fan. everything is in good working order but the electrical fan cant keep up with the heat of Phoenix Arizona. So i ordered and installed a fan clutch and fan blades to help pull air through the radiator.

Overland Trailer - Fridge / Cooler Slide Latch FAB
I saw the RUclips name on your truck and searched you up
Weight? dry/loaded?
I haven't had it weighed unloaded. Half loaded is 3600 lbs. I believe it is right around 4000 fully loaded.
@@BurbanOverland That's perfect. I have a Sequoia, 6200 max, I figured 4500 tow weight..4k is what I was aiming for. This is what I pictured as my target build. Great work!
Love your videos ! Can you do a video on how to do the lighting and electrical setup. I keep seeing different setups and like yours !
Yes I can
😂
Lol
Good luck
LOL Thanks!
Awesome trailer build! Anyway you can show some detail or resource for the door construction? I can't figure out how the doors are constructed. I see the sealer, but is the door just 1" or similar square tubing with sheet metal welded on top?
So the doors are made of 1"x1" square tube and i stich welded 16 awg steel to the opening
@@BurbanOverland ok, awesome. What is the inset/seal? Like a 3/4 angle or something?
Great build.
Thank you
Crashed the BLDC controller lol
My Milwaukee stuff does the same thing and will not work no matter what I do until I release the battery and reseat it. I think it’s a safety feature on my stuff from something in my toolbox bumping the trigger but not fully depressing it
Kinda wonder if it is a low voltage shutoff to protect lithium batterys
@@BurbanOverland I’m thinking it is because my Milwaukee doesn’t miss a beat other than randomly doing this. It’s gotta be some sort of safety function
Bad connection clean it up should work better
Good Idea. I'll try that. this impact and the atomic 1/2 did the same since they were new.
@@BurbanOverland if you bought them from online they're from insurance freights that been in accidents or have bad components but still operate and they resell and double dip the profit. Huge scam going on even the big stores are free buying pallets and selling again in their stores!! There's a chance this was the case here which is unfortunate. I usually buy a new one and stick old in new box and take it back for my money if it happens to me.
@@BurbanOverlandnever buy tools online my man you either got scammed or your battery connection contacts are dirty
@@stephenwebster4438I bought and returned 3 of these from home depot doing the same thing, new out of the box. I think Dewalt just messed up a few batches
@Lee-lb9qh huh I have one and 3 other people I know have em ours work fine.
Clean ur contacts its not a big deal
It's not the contacts, I bought and returned 3 of these before getting one that worked, brand new out of the box did this, 3 of them, doubt it's the contacts bro
i did the same thing. wonder if it is an issue with the batteries.
Stop twining n get some WD sprayed on the battery connections .
Where did you get your roof tent set-up
23Zero is the manufacturer. I got the tent and annex used on facebook marketplace. Check out 23zero.com they have some awesome products
damn!! Very nice bro. Looks like heavy beast but also super heavy duty!!
Thanks! Fully loaded it weighs about 4000lbs
So how did you build the doors/seams to be waterproof?
Just made an update video on all current mods. I explained in that video how the doors are sealed.
Hope you are doing well, Hope you're out getting outdoors. Would love to see more of your content. Practical and well built. Can't wait to see more. Take care.
Thank you!
I want to build a overland trailer but i want to use a truck utility body mounted on a trailer
Sounds like a great start. Don't need to go in the hole to build your dream.
When you cut down the Thule racks, how did you re-attach the uprights to the top or bottom brackets, were you able to reuse the bolts or did you have to weld it back together? Thanks!
The pieces are extruded aluminum so I was able to tap the holes where the bolts go because the holes run all the way through the piece. And rethread and install the original bolts.
fuck me dude that looks butcherd as fuck...What an unorganized shithole that looks damn!
Very sweet build, i love it. Can I ask how you sealed the doors ? I cant see it well , but did you weld angle iron for the door to lean on ? And what is that white think that you used on the edges? Also how thick steel sheet are you using ? Once again well done!
16 gauge steel. The doors are sealed with weather stripping. I used 1/2" x 1/8" flat bar that is welded to the body on the edge to hold the weather stripping. I also used auto seal sealer to completely seal the welded lips.
Cool
Thank you
Well done ! 🙌
Thanks. I appreciate your comments!
You is a well lord , owner , freedom worker , master "golden hands " . It's rightly i'm said , isn't it ?
A video or two on building the trailer would’ve been great, awesome build!
I agree totally should have gotten some footage of the build.
Love it man! Always love making something over buying it. Great job!
Nice build. What did you use for gaskets on the doors? I'm about to build a trailer, but can't find a good gasket material that isn't a push on.

I used a 1/8 inch thick half inch flat bar to have the weather stripping attach to.
Nice set up what’s the travel on that suspension can you adjust the height to match a lifted vehicle.
Trouble on the suspensions probably 3 to 5 inches. You can get different spindles that change the height of the trailer. They range from a 4 inch drop to a 4in lift
Nice built.
Great set up. The only thing missing in my opinion is a decent heavy duty hitch that can handle offroad use. The D035 or McHitch seems to be the choice units down here in Oz.
I plan on upgrading to the D035.
@@BurbanOverland Good choice. I've been happy with mine.
Mint👌
One word comes to mind......AWESOME!!!
Nice trailer. I like your grill slide. Similar to what I’m wanting to do with my build. I have a ‘78 Suburban rolling chassis that I want to convert to a camper trailer. Turn the front seat area into the cooking storage. Mount a fridge and my Camp Chef burner onto a slide like that so it slides out the passenger door. Pull it with my ‘76 Burb.
Real slick. What kind of rack did you mount your tent on? It looks like a ladder rack with shorter legs. Just what I am looking for. My Erickson ladder rack is too high for my liking.
Yes. I picked up a Thule ladder rack for $80 and cut the legs shorter.
@@BurbanOverland I figured as much, thanks for the quick reply. Enjoy your rig!
Well Done! Looks like a good strong rig with lots of COOL features!
blue ridge parkinglot?
Correct
Brother, Awesome build! Figure how to Lock Gas Cans down to prevent from being stolen! Best Regards and Stay Safe!
Until recently My wife and I did all of our camping from my Jeep. You are the 1st and only other person I have seen that uses a tool box as a chuck box. The only difference is mine is a 4 drawer with a bin on top. I don't have any skills with woodworking so I thought a toolbox would serve the purpose at hand and it has. I guess great minds think alike. Great job on the build!
Thank you!
Yah bro thats pretty nice. Im in Prescott, when can I come pick up my new trailer ha. Hope youre out enjoying it!
LOL I am considering building these to sell. I'll let you know if I start building them.
@@BurbanOverland I just bought a mig welder to make one so you better hurry before I go buy some 2" hahaha
Great build Dude.
Thank you!
Excellent job & very nicely thought out.
Thank you!
Fantastic!
Sick build man! Very Inspiring
Just found your channel. Love the trailer. I've got a burban that I'm building also. Hope to see more videos on your build.
Outstanding build well done. 👍🏽
very nice. Im on the process of skin my trailer. what gauge did you used on the doors and side panels.
16 gauge
Very nice
Thanks
Very nice build. I am in the process of building a smaller lighter set up to be towed with a quad .
Where did you get the propane tank mount? Thanks
