Unboxing and setup of Netvue FHD smart Birdfy feeder
Netvue Birdfy have very kindly gifted me this incredible solar powered camera smart bird feeder.
It comes with a simple to follow instruction book. Once constructed, it takes 14 hours of charging the batteries, to be ready to switch over to the solar panel. It took around 4 weeks for the birds to find it. Far longer than I expected. When you have a bird land on the smart feeder, you get told in your alert, which species of bird it is. You can from your phone decide whether to keep the clip or to delete it. You will need to purchase separately, a SD micro card. It takes up to a 128. Mine is a 64 one.
It’s also an excellent security camera with sound.

Waiting for the Kingfisher at Ranworth

I sat patiently at Decoy Dyke, waiting for the Kingfisher to arrive. It took a while but he eventually made a silent arrival. While waiting I had ducks and a moorhen for company. I was about to leave when he suddenly flew in for a second time. #kingfisher #birdwatching #nature

Norwich Airport on a Saturday

Norwich Airport on a Saturday is probably the quietest day of the week. Just 2 planes today. One in from Ibiza and then Crete afterwards (I think) and one off to Jersey. Luckily the helicopters fill in the gaps. Note to self, check first before going to film incase it is a quiet day. #aviation #airport #norwich

Here I film a gorgeous fox and different wild birds on the feeders. Finally I take you to Cley Reserve. From a ...

That's a nifty bit of kit Lisa. I've never seen one like that before. Excellent image quality, wifi alerts and doubles up as a security camera too. Lucky you. Richard Notts
Hi Richard, isn’t it amazing. So many features. I can even see other peoples footage. Can you believe they have captured brown bears on their cameras. Hummingbirds and lots of others I’ve never seen before. Now I can watch the clips they’ve added, anywhere on my phone. Truly amazing. Have a wonderful weekend.
Hopefully the Brown Bears weren't in Martham 😂 Enjoy your weekend too Lisa.@@Newnamesameme2
🤣🤣 🐻 thankfully not
And here we have Bertie demonstrating the new bird feeder at Leasa's home... meanwhile I am thinking, QR code?? Too technical for me plus my mobile is not a smart phone. I cannot even fathom out how to text or put in a contact!!! Bertie is sat there so patiently waiting for his dinner to arrive. Did you notice how he keeps looking up to see if there are any incoming birds? 😂😂😂 It is a wonderful clear image it takes. Too short for a caterpillar I think. You are going to have hours and hours of fun with this.
Endless hours SW, I can’t wait for birds to return so I can make a whole video from the footage. What could the mystery creature be ?
@@Newnamesameme2 Possible a bug, ant or similar?
Well it's happened again, got a call today and for the third time in a year, our 2 week holiday at Cresta cottage in Horning has been cancelled due to flooding. Thankfully we have found a replacement near the New inn...
Goodness. Have a wonderful holiday.
Hi Lisa, that bird feeder looks very good and with the added bonus of a security camera thats brilliant.❤
I’m so impressed with it, it’s amazing. Bird watching has never been so easy . It will be brilliant for making videos. I’m thrilled, absolutely thrilled. @grahamgetsabout2672
Fantastic Leasa. They really are the most beautiful creatures aren't they....almost too bright colouring to be a British bird. I see them virtually every trip on one stretch of water that I fish. Fairly unafraid of us fly fishers.
They really are stunning. A sight you can never get tired of seeing.
Lovely pics of the kingfisher, often see them when I am fishing but they fly past so fast I don't have time to film them. You must have brilliant eyesight to spot it at that distance.
I just saw the blue and thought I wonder if it’s him. I’ve been filming metal birds during the sonic boom today.
Excellent photos as always Lisa. In my own little way I did some wildlife photography last night. A pair of foxes sat on the pavement in front of my house. It was only 7:30 pm but they seemed extremely relaxed. I actually shot it through the net curtains because I didn't want to spook them. I've got a long way to go before I achieve your standards Lisa.
Not at all . Put a wildlife camera out and you may see them again 🦊
Richard Notts by the way. Keep forgetting.@@Newnamesameme2
Beautiful!! I know Decoy Broad at Horning, but which is Decoy Dyke?
It’s along the boardwalk which goes to the floating visitor center. Where the bird hide it. That’s Decoy Dyke.
Taken from Norfolk Wildlife Trust website “A new hide on Decoy Dyke is already proving popular for sightings of kingfisher zipping across the water. “
@@Newnamesameme2 Thank you lovely lady! 😘
You are welcome
You were extremely fortunate to spot the Kingfisher from such a distance.
Very lucky SW. Did you realise that was me passing you yesterday?
@@Newnamesameme2 Yes, I did see you just as you were going past and put my hand up to say hi. Not sure if you saw as you might have been too far past the house at that point. I was on the way out to go to my crafting group
Lovely to see you.
Lovely video and brilliant footage of the kingfisher
Thank you, I’m pleased you enjoyed seeing him.
Lovely just lovely.
Thank you.
Lovely photography again Leasa. One of the stills (@ 09:12), the water looks like mercury, almost as if it is a painting. Amazing! Brave man going into the water....bloody cold, and Hickling has a reputation for weil's disease, so best not get a scratch or cut.
Thank you Gordon. It was lovely there in the sunshine ☀️ 🛥️⛵️ Have a lovely weekend.
Hi Lisa. Am I correct in thinking that the Pleasure Boat inn is no longer an inn?
Hi Richard , the Pleasure Boat Inn was purchased by the Norfolk Wildlife Trust. It’s a visitor center but unique that it is a pub and does do food too. www.thepleasureboathickling.com/
@@Newnamesameme2 thanks for the info Lisa.
The New Inn garden at Horning was fully flooded today, 3 weeks before our Horning holiday. We have been flooded off twice in the last year, so hopefully today's flooding is just a blip.
I saw a photo earlier of the flooding you mention. I was working today so I couldn’t go out filming. Day off tomorrow though 😀 📸. I really hope you get your holiday.
Looks wonderful. When we had the day boat last year, I had hoped to show you your little sandy beach from the water. The channel was all weeded over so it wasn't possible but it looks as though they have cleared it now. Oh, well, the best laid plans of mice and men. 😉😉
Wasn’t that a super trip in glorious sunshine ☀️ 🛥️
@@Newnamesameme2 Yes, it was that. Disappointed about not seeing Hickling though. 🥲🥲
I still remember going in the early sixties to what was then RAF Horsham St. Faith on their open day, and watching their English Electric Lightnings take off and then fly vertically upward. Maybe on a Saturday you could have gone to Tibenham, south of Norwich, where the Norfolk Gliding Club would have been busier - well on a fine day anyway!
Next time I’m down that way I’ll see if they are flying. Thank you. Usually though, I don’t venture far from home.
Plans are always fun to watch.
✈️ always. A proper adrenaline rush when they fly so close overhead ✈️
I do like watching the planes, and wildlife, and the boat's, in fact all that you film,😊
Thank you for your lovely comment. I do start to worry around this time of year , about what I’ll be able to film through the winter months.
I love watching Helicopters, and even better flying in them. But they are the most improbable things....the bend in the blades when hovering carrying the entire weight of the aircraft is amazing.. They should snap off to look at them.
I saw this online at 6.06am (early rise for me today)! Great filming as always.
Thank you SW. I accidentally set it for 6am instead of 6pm 😂✈️🤭
Oops! I set this go to live at 6am instead of 6pm 🤦🏻♀️🤣 ✈️
Beautiful video with lovely film of Anmer and Sandringham and introducing me to a new hide at Flitcham
Thank you, it’s always good to discover new places. Enjoy the hide. Thank you for watching.
Love the mini tours of local sites, thank you!
You are very welcome. I’m pleased you enjoyed it. I plan to stay at all 4 Haven sites locally. Next will be the Hopton site and so I’ll film places of interest in that area. Simply trying to build up my local accommodation playlist. Thank you for watching.
Hi Lisa, well you said you had made plans. We’re a bad influence on you 😂😂😂. It’s a nice change of scenery and relaxing this time of year 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏love Graham and Wendy xx
It was fabulous , thank you for telling me. Monday to Friday isn’t long enough 😂. I’ve another booked 🤭 Have a lovely weekend you 2 xx
@@Newnamesameme2 it’s not long enough for us either. What a great county you live in xx
You live in a lovely county too.
That was great Leasa. I don't think the raptor was a Peregrine. tail looked too long. Outline looks like a Kestrel in 'non hover mode'. I stand to be corrected though.
Thank you Gordon. Just something different. You could be right about the bird.
That does look a lovely holiday park, but i like to be able to see the sea....at time of writing i'm in a caravan on top of a cliff on the Yorkshire coast..and its very windy... !!!!!!!!!
It’s funny isn’t it, I’m only about 4 miles from the sea so chose a tree location. Trust you to be on a cliff top facing the sea in a storm and a tornado 🌪️ predicted 😂
What a lovely day out. It's many years since I've been to Great Yarmouth but it doesn't seem to change much.
No it doesn’t really change along the seafront . Thank you for watching.
So glad you had time to yourself to wander freely at your leisure, wherever you wanted to go and capture some lovely footage to show us all! The caravan located between the trees looked so peaceful.
It was the perfect spot. I’ll definitely go back and stay in the same one.
Excellent Leasa
Thank you Gordon. Did you like the Lizard?
@@Newnamesameme2 He was lovely!
The images as it was getting later in the day are stunning.
Thank you so much SW I’ve been out for 10 hours filming today 🤷🏻♀️ and ended up at Breydon Water opposite Berney Arms Mill. There was a very dramatic sky there as the sun went down.
Lovely
Thank you.
The lighting was very atmospheric Lisa. Loved the final frame of the film. Richard Notts
Thank you Richard. I’ve filmed at Breydon Water this evening and it was very atmospheric there too.
Cool little place and a nice share for those that don’t know it . - I’ve Always known it as “ doctors cut “ . Used to be on my doorstep …. The upper wensum from bintree up past fakenham, and the upper bure past Oxnead and up to saxthorpe would be my suggestions for filming
Thank you for your suggestions, but I only film in the Northern Rivers area of the Norfolk Broads. The Rivers Ant, Thurne and Bure. Where exactly was Doctors Cut?
I just looked on google and it mentions Heggatt Hall and Doctors Cut. Then on the map it’s in the Little Switzerland area. I wonder why and when it changed its name. I do like research and never knew this, thank you 🙌
@@Newnamesameme2 both names are correct, I’d say little Switzerland describes the area on the heggatt side of the bure towards belaugh hills and holes , if you walk up the street in heggatt and take the path through the woods you get to see why it’s called that.
There’s a big sign saying Private though, so that’s a no for me. Sadly.
I am a descendent of Lenard Mapes he was my 12th great grandfather 3:33
Oh my goodness, how amazing is that. Thank you for watching
Nice filming.
Thank you for the compliment and for watching
The KLM Cityhopper didn't stay long. I realise that the landing and take off were not in real time, but if it happened while you were there that is a quick turn around.
It is a quick turnaround. More flights for 2025 announced. Great news for Norwich.
I love watching aircraft.
Me too. I usually film from the same airfield gate as I love the roar of engines sound bouncing off the buildings but if I stand at the next one along I get the smell of the fuel. To stand directly under them as they are just about to land is phenomenal…… perhaps I’m just strange Gordon 🤷🏻♀️😂✈️
I am always amazed how the aircraft get off the ground!
Oh me too SW ✈️
A lot going on😊
It was very busy. I could stay there all day watching 🚁✈️
Lovely,
Thank you, hope it helps with the holiday blues
@Newnamesameme2 🙂 yep sure does. You do an amazing job with your videos.
Thank you , the wildlife are my favourite as they do funny things. I’ve 2 videos already made and 1 of them is for this Thursday. There’s a short video (5 mins I think it is) wildlife at Strumpshaw Fen or there’s a 20 minute video of the departures and arrivals at Norwich Airport. I’ll let you choose which one I should release. There may even be another Barton wildlife too but they’re not doing funny things sadly.
@@Newnamesameme2 airports are always good to watch, but all Yr videos are good.

Thank you for your kind words. I always do the voiceover after editing. It’s so much easier. Mind you it may take 4 or 5 attempts to say one sentence 😂 Thank you for subscribing.

Great video! Good job filming this, I quite often visit Norwich Airport myself recording some of the aircraft here too. Nice to see the FedEx B737-400 as well - a rare arrival.
Thank you watching and commenting ✈️ I just love being close to them as they land. Grew up on RAF camps and my love of their noise has never left me. FedEx was brilliant to watch. They’re not easy to film as they fly so fast and I don’t move as fast as they do 😂. On one visit to NWI I filmed a fox on the runway . Security soon guided him away from danger. You just never know what you might see .
@@Newnamesameme2 Always something interesting happening at NWI! And yes, they are hard to record, especially when standing so close to them.
Much fun had by all I'd say. There's no denying that at times you just can't beat the old box brownie 😂 Oh well back outside now and crack on with winterizing the shed. Yes it's nearly the end of summer again ☹️ Richard Notts
You need to purchase yourself a box brownie for your holiday.
I might be able to run to a chocolate brownie or two 😂@@Newnamesameme2
I would have liked to have been there to see that.😀😀
It was wonderful to watch
Nice to see the sailing boats but too much work for me ,I,d rather have a motor. It looked like there was plenty of wind for them but we hope it's not like that in a month when we are down there. Hope we can meet up again.
Of course we will meet up .
Good coverage Leasa.....next, they will all be off to Oulton Regatta! 177, Breeze, is a lovely old lady. I have spent time on her in the past. The foreshortening of the zoom lens (good strong lens Leasa), makes it look more chaotic than it actually is....especially with several different classes of boats moving around. The Cruiser race (Big boats), are following a course which is very evident when you are out on the water. Good strong breeze though. Most people sleep over during the regatta hence all the moored and rafted motor cruisers.
Gordon thank you for always telling me the bits I don’t know about and filling in the gaps. It is always very much appreciated. There were 3 lads in a boat going fast. They looked as though they were having a fantastic time out there. I just love the sails. ⛵️
