GPL's tribute to the 2002 national champion Minnesota Golden Gopher hockey team
Just introduced my 6-year-old son to the Mighty Ducks movie and watched it myself for the first time in over 25 years, and heard this song on the closing credits. I was like “Hey, this is the song from the Gophers championship video!” (and now it all makes sense)

I worked a night job at the time so I never got to watch the game. This video was awesome. Perfect song with great editing. The picture of the jump into the team after the tieing goal would make a perfect poster.
What a year, wish I could have been on this team. Played with a lot of those guys but effed up my high school career. Every MN hockey kids dream is to do just what these guys did for the maroon and gold.
The one Minnesota championship I have since in my 33yrs of life.

As a Gopher fan, I enjoy Big Ten hockey a thousand times more than I ever enjoyed the old WCHA. It always felt wrong to me that Michigan and Michigan State were in a different hockey conference than the Gophers and Badgers. I'm so glad that wrong was eventually righted.
You should redo this video with the song "Break The Ice" from the movie RAD.

I think most people focus on the tying and winning goals. The Pohl snipe was as perfect as it gets.

The greatest hockey game ever. I watched this game with 15 of my closest friends and I can still feel the intensity of the room. Fucking Sioux suck.. And so does St. Cloud.
