Thank god I found this, got my first bike and I’m legit just learning how to make repairs and on it off of RUclips. I’m repainting the whole bike including the engine and clutch cover but this bike legit has been a beast to just prep. I needed to get under the air box and legit had no idea how so thissss helped a shit ton.

I have a 2003 Honda Shadow VLX 600. I made several changes to it since I bought it in 2008. I put a gas tank from a 750 Aero on it and wired all the lights in the tank mounted speedometer to work. Since I made this video I replaced the pod air filter with a velocity stack, rejetted the carb from a kit I got from TJBrutalCustoms. Since the original seat wouldn't go back on with the larger gas tank I made a solo seat for myself, and added extra padding on the rear seat for my wife. ruclips.net/video/EnSAgIv8u7U/видео.html

I serviced mine with a friend today, I was feeling really confident after I realised I didn't need to take the tank off to replace the air filter, the plugs were easy to remove and the new oil filter slotted right in. my downfall was not noticing a bit of crud on the surface of the oil filter housing that subsequently meant my bike leaked all over the place when I started it up. lesson learned, make sure you clean the mating surfaces properly! (although it was funny rushing around trying to find a clean receptacle to drain the overspill from the oil filter housing)

With that music...Is it weird that I was all "Oh, yea, remove that shit!..Mmm....Oh, yea! Let's see what's underneath! LOL I should probably take a break from the garage!
