DIY 3D Printer Multi Matertial Upgrade: How to start?
Have you ever wondered what it might take to modify your current single filament 3D printer to printer with 2, 3, or even 4 or more filaments at the same time? Maybe you want to print in more than one colors at the same time. Or perhaps you want to use soluble supports?
In this video, I'll share with you how I modified two of my printers to print with 4 filaments at a time using 4 extruders and a single nozzle.

Hello, Please, How to place patterns at vases?
Thanks I was intimidated by free cad before watching this but not any more thanks
why did you stop making videos, this tutorial was good.. I would add little bits of info like some of the things you did (changing sizes and all) we could not see how you got to those commands so I would stop the video and find them and then return
Hi brother, I found your video to be awesome and very helpful, do you still have the model?? If you do can you send me through your mail??😅
Really nice and easy to understand videos ... what printer and printing software are using after you used freecad?
Man quit with the background music it's annoying!
Very informative
You should not deceive people with cover art.
Ok, but how do you get the helix grooves in the finished part? Is that done with the slicer, or in freecad?
have to say, tried to follow the cad steps like you did and have to say cad sucks!!!
Dude, you didn't show how to make any of the vases in the thumbnail. Such clickbait is not how you're behaving on RUclips!
Nice video, Thanks Karim Paul.
If u give me email I send u the bottel pnj
Sure. Post a link to the image in the comments. Let's have a look.
Please can u help me with modeling a plastic bottel I mean how I do that
Неплохо.
Thanks a lot very interesting, you do a great job ! I wonder to know do you think you can create a 3rd methode using shape or b spline ? It would be interesting to see.
Sure. The first method used a curve for the walls. Those curves can be regular curves or b-splines as well. If there is yet another way, please do share a reference and I'll try to incorporate it in a future video.
@@oversliced1547 I would loved to test and try and share. But I didn't find good surface b-spline tutorial for begniners. Do you know some ?
No problem. I'll include it in a follow-up video. Thanks.
@@oversliced1547 wonderfull !
Good video. I learned something today and it is only 8AM!
Thanks for you kind feedback.
Thank you this video is needed I can’t wait to see the next keep it up 👍
Thanks for your kind words. I'll be sure to create a followup to this in a future video.
Ramps actually also has a x3 stepper expander that adds 3 more stepper driver slots too, but thank you very much for the video!
That is correct. Ramps has X1, X2, and X3 stepper expanders. www.reprap.me/stepper-expander-x1.html www.reprap.me/stepper-expander-x2.html www.reprap.me/stepper-expander-x3.html
Nice and simple. Looking forward to your coming 3D print projects!
Very nice! But how do you add those patterns to the vase walls?
I'll be posting another video to discuss that soon. Thanks.
@@oversliced1547 Thank you
Where is the video? 🙄
i dont mean to be off topic but does anyone know of a method to log back into an Instagram account? I was dumb forgot the login password. I appreciate any tips you can offer me!
@Abel Gunnar instablaster ;)
Neat project.Thank you for sharing it.
Thank you so much for the video. It was very informative.
Thanks for your kind feedback.
In Blender, use the 3d Printing add-on to check for non manifold edges; afterward and in Slic3r, right click on object and select Reload from Disk.
Thanks Bernard. I'll try that add-on.
