Is there anything different about clocks with two weights than three that would mis Aline the chimes and the actual time?

Hello I am trying to understand were the lever is to turn on chime they told my it chimes but is shut off and I bought it from someone I don’t know what do I do

I have this exact same model. Right down to the wire mesh on the lower half of the door and "NBC Peacock" up top. This was my grandparents. It has not run in more than a decade and it has not chimed for more than 40 years. Through exhaustive research, I have disassembled, cleaned, oiled, and reassembled it. I have put it back in beat and it is now running. The problem I am experiencing is that the chime stops mid chime. It will stop with one or two notes to go. What could cause this and how can I fix it?

Clock was striking hour at quarter to hour - got the clock back on track with striking at the hour, however it is only chiming and striking the hour every other hour.

we have a coo-coo clock chimes 10 minutes before hourly and 10 minutes before the half hour.how do i fix that ?

What are my options if I can’t get to the face of the clock? Mine is chiming 3 minutes early, but the hands are behind glass that doesn’t open.

Ok my Howard Miller clock is chimeing 4 hours off should I pull the hands and move them ahead 4 hours ? Then change the time by turning the minute hand ahead and stop every 15 and Waite before moving on to the right time ?

For model number 610-987, does the hour hand come off? I got the minute hand off with the little bolt but the hour hand seems stuck on the peg it moves on. I’m trying to set my time but seems to be off still. It does chime.

I have been having trouble with a Herschede Bermuda grandfather clock that I believe has a chime sequence which is not synced correctly, because the stopper in the movement oddly gets stuck tripping for up to 8 minutes until it reaches a trigger that locks it in place. I think this is just what I need to solve this problem so all the triggers can be lined up with the time, so thank you. If not, I guess the instruction manual would be right and the movement would need to be replaced.

I inherited my Moms Grandfather clock. It has been dormant for a decade. I brought it home this weekend and it's chiming to different hours and such. It's beautiful and makes me smile every time it goes off. And I'm terrified to mess with the face like that. Your video is very helpful. Thankyou.

heya, I have quick question, I have a very similar grandfather clock I got a few days ago, and it sounds great, its been working fantastic but I do have 1 slight issue, IM not sure why by the chimes are SUPER slow, the hourly chime takes about 2-3 minutes to complete. Is that normal? Is there something I need to fix? Thanks

Did you stop the pendulum before you took off the nut and removed the minute hand? Also, newer Howard Miller clocks instructions specifically say to only rotate the minute hand backwards. I'm having trouble realigning chime time with actual time. I am pushing the chime time off somehow. There's a catch I'm missing somewhere.
