An Honest Review On a Hyosung GT650R

    it is a very good bike, i had almost 6k km on it. the only 2 downside i would say is that, first the throttle is a bit jerky during low rpm/low gears, (but it can be easily fix with a fuelx), second the bike is a bit small, so i think if you are a guy taller than 175cm, this bike will look very small to you

    • @Benibxi
      @Benibxi 7 дней назад

      @@xfadl yeah the handlebars are a bit low especially when you’re standing up, the jerky throttle can be fixed with better clutch control but definitely a small bike for big people but a tall bike for small people

    What throttle lock do you use? Link? Looking to get one for my svart. Does it damage the handlebar?

    • @Benibxi
      @Benibxi 14 дней назад

      It’s one off of Amazon, it’s not very good. It’s this rubber pad that presses against the kill switch/start unit to hold the throttle in place. The vibration of the bike at high rpm makes it drop so i mainly use it on country roads that are maybe 70 kph speed limit

  • @bjjw

    I got '22 model. The tires are Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR, for the record. Mine, and a few others people have bike shut off in the middle of the ride. This is known by Husqvarna but no fix is offered. It is believed to be caused by too lean fueling. Fix is Fuelex mode, which I have but have not installed yet. Great little bike. You forgot to mention that is has a switchable ABS on rear wheel for off-road riding. Press of Mode for a few seconds deactivates it and screen shows "Supermoto" as a result. Good review.

    Suzuki is infamous for voltage regulator problems and this being an cousin the bike "inherited" the problematic metrics of it's larger kin. SV650's are fantastic motorcycles and raced quite a bit here stateside. What is not inherited by the Hyosung from it's SV brethren are week front suspension and brakes as the Hyosong has GSXR 600 components. The handlebar issue is odd and if you got it used I would in good confidence feel it had been wrecked pretty serious and bent the control bar assemblies but I *think* it's not new so you can solve this by getting a set of clip ons that match the OD of the forks at just below the upper triple tree. I picked up a couple of 2T Hyosung scooters a few years ago and the mileage was astonishing on one of them at 37k miles on, what the shop I picked up a bunch of old projects and abandoned scooters from said was to their knowledge correct, the original cylinder having only had one set of rings and the Reeds replaced as far as anything outside of regular scheduled maintenance. About 20 minutes back at my shop I had three scooters running, the Hyosung being one of them. And it ran fantastic. Nice vid bud

  • @kapteinsuperskoot6986
    @kapteinsuperskoot6986 9 месяцев назад

    There's something wrong with your handlebars, mate. You can see the ends droop too low, hence the caught fingers. Mine (2007) turned quite sharply, I've got large hands and mine never got caught, even with gloves. Also, Halogen LEDs? Anyway, I loved mine, want it back every day. It felt weird the first day, being a little top-heavy, but on day 2 it was a joy. Electricals, yeah... Also, no, it is NOT an SV engine - only 2 parts in common. The engine was designed by the same guy as the SV's, and the Hyosung factory does build Suzuki engines, but not the SVs. Some say the Hyosung is actually a bit faster htan the SV... Anyway, enjoy it!

    I have one and it's a real bitch in the cold under 10 degrees and yes in early spring or mid autumn it gets quite chilly in the morning but beautiful during the day to drive your bike to work. But she refused to start in the cold so many times it annoyed me so much especially when the Fireblade of my husband had no problems at the same time at all. Same goes with the heat. She overheats so easily in traffic and shuts down mid driving and honestly she has air AND water cooling, so that shouldn't be a problem but it is. Other than that I have some pretty nice tyres (road attack 3) and this bike is easy to hang off and knee down but again hard to grip on the tank. The Fireblade has edges which feels safer to hang off from but that machine is 3-5 gran more expensive and definitely not a beginner bike so that comparison falls short. The engine runs loud and edgy which was a good plus for me. The V motor adds a lot of vibrations to the driving which made the slow driving quite shaky but one get used to it. It's not a star under all bikes but defo a good one for starters in the category superbikes. It forgives some mistakes and is affordable. I'd say a good investment for the first two years but then it's time to invest in something with more power, more driving stability, AB-system and maybe some nice add ons like quick shifts or else to make the driving experience even more fun

  • @СергейЛескин-ц6г

    2009 GT/GV has no Nissin brakes like yours, keep this in mind guys. yours is modified by the previous owner, I guess. Nissin brakes are installed since 2010 and are newer. Before then TCIC 2 piston calipers are installed.

    I already have several bikes of different models and all of them had chronic problems, especially the ninjas with lubrication problems, problems with the water pump shaft, which always damaged the seal, mixed cooling fluid in the oil or vice versa.. MT07 does not work with the gtr650.. .all ninja 650 both old and new which costs 48,990.00 in Brazil and has nothing of components..like cane is the same as the ninjinha does not have pro link ...does not have adjustable pedals does not have semi handlebars ... being that the hyosung 650 gtr has an inverted cane with preload control both in the advance and in the retreat. acclaimed in the country where I live..xj besides the bare components, it's not even fun to ride the gtr650 hornet, you have to be pretty straight if you don't embarrass yourself.. you have to appreciate these bikes.. I know some engines in this life..and say one One of the best twin-cylinder engines I've ever seen in the category, easy to maintain and very robust, this is installed on the Hyosung 650 and 250..

      well when you get a new motorcycle its best to replace all fluids (brake fluid, coolant, oil, petrol, filters etc), just to make sure the previous owner was taking care of it. I got lucky in my case because the guy had it from new and in a garage for all these years. I'm the abuser of this bike now, and honestly not a peep out of it. I don't like the a2 restrictor on it though limiting it to 47hp. :(
