I don't know too much about DCS. But this game is simple and easy to get into. Not much to learn and you could be more disappointed with things because they could be easier for you. But for me this is a good starting point because things are simple and my Laptop can run it. There is fast action and really fun flying. Not many options on planes. Do check out my Honest Opinion on Nuclear Option I go over more things there and you could see if you like it or not. I appreciate your view and comment.

@@Ovo_Lord no, it will run like shit probably, depending on what "low end" means for you. Loading into a bigger scenario will be tragic, playing single player miiiight work for smaller practice-like missions, but the AI is not the best so yeaah. Also much of the beauty in DCS are the realistic graphics, and they will look like crap for you

Pretty well, I cutomize my kebinds to my liking but it's just as smooth as using a HOTAS bc you can either use ur mouse as the joystick or WASD, I prefer WASD so I can look around, but using the mouse is just like the HOTAS. There are keybinds for free look and such so the mouse isn't locked into place or anything. TO me it plays way better than both of those games, though I have played them a long time a go so I am not the best source. But do look into the game if you are planning on getting it.

I regularly play NO without hotas and it’s really good

Dcs is more of a sandbox than a flight sim I would prefer falcon bms and strike fighters 2 rather than Dcs
