Team Butter weekend trip
Просмотров 3922 года назад
Group of us decide to head to March moto madness this weekend with mostly all of us on BMW R1200gs. Would have been a different weekend with a smaller bike but had a blast with the bigger bikes on the roads in Tennessee. We’re already planning out next trip to the Pine Barrens in New Jersey soon. Still what a great weekend with this group of guys.

Even busy with work unfortunately. Haven’t been posting much. Winter is almost done. Getting around to the house build and getting some ideas for a trials coarse in the backyard.

My yz250x wares
Very good teamwork.
I drove GSA1200 a long Time ago...but this is madness. What a hassle and all combined with the smell of burning dry cluthes!!!!🫣
Too much money, and not enough sense.
Owerkill.
sense? 500 pounds, 20 K Euros in mud?
oh I love these Dad's Fail videos these bikes are way to heavy & powerful for off-roading, but God loves a trier Keep 'em coming
Nice one buddy. Cheers from Cuijk.
As a GS owner I know how heavy this bike is... You guys are my heroes 😂
Nice video.... I own a 1200 2009 and this video make me think about my clutch... sometimes when I'm in a tricky situation I'm try to use the clutch as two stroke motorcycle, and always I smell a bit of burn odour. Just because you guys have more experience even cause you ride in groups, with others bmw guys, do you known or think that is normal or have a problem with the clutch? In normal situation I never have a problem of slippery clutch h or problem of traction.. my bike has 90k km. Tanks for the replay
mit so einer schweren Maschine ist so eine Strecke eine Qual und kein Spaß ;)
Great video, you guys did great. I ride the MABDR last April by myself on my Pan America. I was left wanting more. I haven’t decided where I’m going next fall but NE looks pretty good. Shadow of the Rockies is calling me in June. Ride safe!
Where is this filmed at ?
Speed was the problem. No fall down İf u ride a bit faster :)
Hey Mark, Where you at ? Did you sell the bike ?
Lol no just had some personal things this year unfortunately had to put the riding on the back burner. I actually got another bike added a rninet. Just haven’t really been doing any video work with the house work I’ve been doing. I’ll be back hopefully with videos next year.
@@marksearsjr Yeah man i get it. Just making sure youre still around. The R9Ts are sweet! See you at WiTF next year!
Brilliant video. Well done you guys. Huge respect from a UK rider. Great to see you guys having a go and not a polished sunny day show pony.
You needed to do more shots of what parts you had to take off to get to the shocks, especially the front.
Looks like YOUR limits, not the bikes. Good video.
Lol so right about that.
Ditto on the GPS.
just discovered your video. can you tell me if there are campsites off the trail, or do you have to go back to civilization to find camp sites. looks kinda challenging. I'm assuming you can just do parts of this. Don't have any real off road experience. Thanks
Camping wasn’t to hard best to study the route and figure were you want to be. We just winged it and always found something with in 10 miles. Just keep in mind weekends get busy and camp sites get full so reserve is the best thing to do.
Yawwwn
🥰
Fantastic video. Very well done! Nice to see what the NEBDR looks like as it clearly is above my skill level. Great ride!
Big bikes are great for the road but I give you credit for doing this on a bike that size
Well this convinced me not to bring my big bike solo. I’ll take my 700
I would like to have a day like you and not just watch it in youtube :)
You get out there sign up on some events and find some people to ride with around you.
What time of year was this?
Want to say late spring from what I remembered. It’s been so long. But it’s pretty easy to do from end of may to end of September just depends on the rainy season. Camping is rough though from what I remembered. Almost need to reserve a camping spot a couple days before.
I am 71 years old now, and I’ve owned many bikes! But, I would have to say that my 2016 BMW R 1200 GSA is the best motorcycle I’ve ever owned. It is absolutely fantastic for the kind of riding. I use it for at least End that riding includes lots of high speed touring miles, lots of two-lane roads, dirt, roads, and other essentially non-dirt riding excursions. My GSA has been from the Arctic to Central America all over the United States in Canada and it is never let me down I wouldn’t trade it for anything, of course, your mileage may vary. It is a very tall motorcycle. It is heavy, but if you pack it correctly, it is very manageable to ride the only drawback to the motorcycle that I can see is the high cost of operation. Maintenance for my BMW is very expensive if I were to get a 12,000 mile service and a set of tires it would stretch well into the mid $1600 range! However, my BMW has never left left me down, has never left me, stranded, and the joy I get from it. My GSA FAR exceeds all my expectations!
It's not fun, but painful!!! Hard tracks, heavy bikes, and bad weather...
Time for some new videos
Soon weather is changing
😢 Promo sm
Time for some new videos!
Lol yup
I have a rxv 450 and I've not ever had it that slow !!. Pardon me , but . When I ride mine at rev limiter ! It fills every need that needs to be filled . .. sir . Good day to you .
Sorry for riding slow it’s just my deductible on my heath insurance cost more than the bike.
Don’t plug it in or nothing
Lol like how everyone bases everything on a short video. The fuel gelled up. It still had summer blend in it. Not my first diesel.
w ww.ruclips.net/video/EMrxee_fazo/видео.html 😂
Regardless of what others say this is still much more entertaining than most shorts!
Still better than a ford
Dumb dumb. Oh yea dodge owner.
There’s this wonderful thing called a glow plug but it needs to warm up first
You know it’s called a short film don’t have enough time to film that
2nd gen Cummins have this wonderful thing called grid heaters
That's Y U plug in the block heater !
Starting fluid
Dude let the glow plugs 🔌 cycle a few time then start the hit the key 🔑
You know this is a short video can’t film that
At least you let the car cycle and the glow plugs warm up 😂
Oh they been cycled and warmed up. Truck still has summer blend in it unfortunately.
Highly watchable- no non-sense. Cool perspective on the NE- nice job.
Nah BMW ain’t jealous of that 😂
These bikes are made for off road ride thrus. So you can see whats on the other side of the hill and then back on the blacktop. In eastern Kentucky you can ride the Kentucky adventure trail or the Daniel boone back country byway and these bikes are perfect. Ride to Gatlinburg thru cades cove, thru Parsons trail to tail of the dragon is what these bikes are for
I really enjoyed seeing the paths you we riding! I know first hand how the gopro doesn't do a good job capturing the dimension of the terrain. You rode some pretty advanced stuff!
So you fitted the FASST CO FLEXX BARS. I mentioned this in the GS forums and got so much SHIT for it. Do you like them? What about the lack of backward bend in them compared to the stock GS?
I went with the 15 degree bend if I could do it again the 18 would be perfect. Really liked them. Unfortunately took them off and put them on another bike the reach was a tad to much for road riding but off road it was amazing.
They run a Black Friday deal that’s when I bought them.
@@marksearsjr Thanks for the info. Good to know. I was wondering if I would need to replace the handle part with a different bend.
