I've not used that card myself. But, it looks like the cooling is pretty good on that card. So, I'd think you'd get the same, if not slightly better performance from that card if you overclock.

Hmmm... That's a good question actually. I don't think you have to have especially high rep, but I did find that the mission doesn't pop very often. I also found that if I failed it, I would have to do a lot of successful merc missions to get it to reappear.

Yeah, absolutely. It's 3440x1440. So it's roughly halfway between 1440p and 4k, in terms of number of pixels.

Hehe, yeah I got totally overrun on this one. I've since learned that it's not the dead security that have the datapad, but the ninetails boss. So, I'll hopefully capture a more successful attempt in the future 😂

At a guess, I’d say that recording only takes about 3-5 fps. But, it’s GPU AV1 encoding that I believe runs on separate cores to what the game uses.

Yeah, they’re fairly similar to a regular bunker mission or a short part of Seige. I had a couple runs that were very buggy. But, this one went fine and should hopefully represent what goes to live.

Hey there, congrats on the new PC, that sounds sick! My resolution is about 25% more than yours, so you'll definitely get better performance than me. I would have to guess somewhere between 10-20 fps more than me in the landing zones (which is the most intense parts of SC). So to answer questions 2, it's important to note that Star Citizen is a really unusual game in that it's still being developed, so it's not optimised. It also constantly streams entities in and out, rather than using loading screens. All of that means that it's very CPU bottle-necked, which is completely different to most games. The settings you'll see from me are almost the most optimised for this game, other than I also sometimes like vsync. Because it's still in development, it still has silly things like dropping quality settings actually drops performance 😂 It's a game that's like nothing else when it works, and when it's not working.... well, it's also like nothing else! 😁 Let me know what your performance is like in SC if you download it, I'd be very curious how it handles.

@@skyjangai @skyjangai first of all thanks a lot for the interest, I was thinking about 20 fps for the direct change in pixels as well but I figured you could have more info to guess, happy regardless, even 10 fps is a great boost In these framerate ranges. About the game, I'm now torn between two options for which game to get. I just built the pc so getting a 60$ game already wouldn't be very good for my wallet😅, however I'll get some money in a couple days and with that I can get one game. The choice is between SC and Starfield (pre order), I'm really struggling to choose as they both look like one of my dream games

@@Not_Bed Oh yeah, starfield looks great! Can’t wait for that to come out. It’s a tough choice. Starfield will definitely feel more like a polished game. SC has been in development for 10 years and still has a long way to go. It can be very buggy and frustrating at times. In saying that, there’s nothing quite like it in terms of that immersive sense of being in space. Every quarterly patch brings new game play and a new set of bugs to work around. I guess you can always get one and then buy the other in the future. ☺️

@@skyjangai yeah I'll for sure get both sooner or mater, the thing SC I could play right away, Starfield I could get the pre order bonus... Now I'm realizing I've never seen what it is tho, I'll go check EDIT: I checked and the normal pre orde bonus kinda sucks, It's just a skin for 3 items, well looking at it now I guess there's no point having to wait till sep 6 with no game to have 3 red items versus playing SC right away, guess I'll see you in the verse in a couple days🙌🏻

Yeah, I’d so love it if they added an r_DisplayInfo option that was just the FPS counter, but also large and readable! I guess we’ll just add that to the long list of COPIUM dreams 🤭 Yeah I think the 7900 XT is plenty capable. The CPU is going to be the bottleneck at 4K. The resolution I’m running is halfway between 1440p and 4k, so you’ll lose a few frames over what I get. But, if your CPU is better than mine you may not lose anything.

Yes, I have the Motherboard in "Gaming" mode, which disables the e-cores.

Yeah, I paid about USD $2300 in January. But, I’m in Australia so we probably pay extra in terms of tax and shipping etc. I hear that the parts prices have gone way down since then, so I expect it will be a lot cheaper now. Have you tried the pcpartpicker.com/ website? It may help.
