horn will not work when pressed, only if I make direct ground contact on the wire. Also, the horn button has very little distance from the wheel, which I feel that if it did work, even the slightest bump would set it off. I'm stumped.

lol 🤣 my horn shit the bed. Something went wrong and i had to remove the entire horn from my setup lol otherwise it would just sound the horn constantly.

Nice video! Mine came with a foil sheet , i guess for grounding. You never mentioned that. Otherwise really good video.
Excellent instructions. Told me everything I needed to know to install my steering wheel.
Horn installed exactly like video, horn not working with button. I have to ground out on center shaft bolt.

I'm trying to do this for the Grant chrome cap but it will not stay on, pops right off whenever I turn the wheel.
Sorry to hear that. The horn spring might be to depressed to tight. call Grant for some foam pads to replace that spring. so that no longer happens.
