Dancing walk tutorial with DUIK in After Effects

Hi guys! Recently I received a question about how I achieved the dancing walk cycle with Duik so I've recorded this video to show. I went through all steps pretty quickly cuz I didn't want the video to be 2 hours long but rather just give an overview and mostly concentrate on the dancy walking cycle part. This looks amazing, but if I can give a tip. I would speed up the animation just a bit. It seems sort of sluggish for me. That is my only complaint for the rest it looks very good, and amazing music choice.

Здравствуйте. Случайно увидел Ваши работы (шоурил) и они очень крутые! Хотел спросить, сколько Вы уже работаете в сфере моушен дизайна и что-то может подскажете новичку? А то изучаю АЕ где-то с полгода,но никто особо не хочет брать на работу в студию(
Спасибо! 1.5 года, студию пока тоже не нашла. Говорят, кризис 😅 советую просто искать проекты и фрилансить пока в поисках фул-тайма. (Я так делаю;))

find something that you're passionate about and keep doing until you're good at it. For example, I recently started learning Blender. It's hard, and I'm far from being great at 3D, but I learn a bit every day and already can see the results. Good luck! 🖤

Это невероятно круто! А какие программы использованы в данных работах помимо after effects? Я вижу тут и 3d, и покадровую анимацию..
Спасибо! Все 2D было сделано в афтере 😁 кроме интерактивного робота на планшете - это Rive. Все 3D в Блендере

@@miller.videoshorts хахах да я думаю просто кайфовать от того, что делаешь. И смотреть разные туториалы;)
@@tatyanamaart тут наверное ещё рисовать надо уметь, а я не умею. а по моушену в блендере есть хорошие туториалы?
@@miller.videoshorts я тоже не умею к сожалению 🤣 выкручиваюсь простыми и абстрактными дизайнами. По брендеру я купила membership у Cabeza Patata, по стилю и подаче очень нравится:) но уверена, что на любые стили найдутся крутые уроки и туториалы

@@nikitapetrov5439 я не дизайнер по образованию, переучилась онлайн на skillshare и тут на ютубе. когда уровень подтянулся, купила курсы у Ben Marriott, Cabeza Patata. Они мне все понравились, могу советовать 😄

Great! How setup run cycle in duik? It's possible?
Hey, yes and it's pretty easy: in properties, you can find a "run" slider. set it to 100% and "walk" 0%

I downloaded the updated Duik Ángela and I wanted to tear my hair out with my character not rigging correct with my png images. I'll give it another shot
Oh sorry to hear, I had lots of failed rigs while learning but didn’t work much with png images. If it still doesn’t work after you try again, you can mail me your project and maybe I could understand how to fix it tatyanama.art@gmail.com

Can you do rigging and walking tutorial for the current trending characters used in explainer videos which have over proportnate hands and legs?
That’s a cool idea, I’ll definitely think about it, thanks! Is there any specific part you’re interested in? Cuz the overall process is going to be more or less the same for any characters with any proportions
@@tatyanamaart would be great if u could show us how to maybe approach designing that sort of characters in illustrator and rigging it with ae with maybe walk cycle? I just cant find anyone covering that character style anywhere and everyone nowadays are using that style
@@oldtimer666 I actually think I've watched some videos covering disproportional characters design... but anywho I'll totally keep that idea in mind and hopefully will be create a nice and useful video about it!:)

I use Duik Angela cuz that’s a newer version
