The Installation kit comes with two sizes for how deep into the frame the hole will be: 2-3/4" and 2-3/8". You should have the kit at 2-3/8". The 2-1/8" is the drill size. The new lock installation kit comes with two hole saw drills, one for the handle it self (2-1/8") and one for the latch (1"). We home that makes it understandable.

Yes, the regular kit comes with that motor have a spring wire that can be stretched when the gate close or open. We do not recommend to do so because after a white the wire will get loose and cause problems.

Most of the time it will be stuck inside the drill bit. Otherwise you probably will need to use regular concrete drill bit and pull it out.

Hi, our gate kits come with the side posts as well. You will need to attach them to something so if there is no wall or house on the side of the existing gate you will need to leave the posts. Other option is to but 1-1/4"x1-1/4" steel tube (we sell it as well) and put in in the ground with concrete. Our side posts built with an inner tube to fit this steel. The thickness is 12 gauge (2mm). We manufacture everything in the US. We sell only aluminum. The cost for square foot is $15-$25 depending on the style, color and layout. In this specific video the price is closer to the $25 range.
