Hello. I played in a band called Cajun way back in the late 70's and early 80's.
Now I like to go to jam sessions, open mics, and mostly play around the campfire with friends. We travel in a camper all winter so I like to get together with other folks that like to play and sing.
A lot of my videos are either lessons to close friends or simple performances of campfire songs.

A lesson on the Fat C major Chord
The C major chord can be played with a much more fuller sound but using this simple trick. This works on both acoustic and electric guitars.

You keep doing what you're doing. Ignore the negative comments. I've been playing for 54 years and everyone can always keep on learning. Rarely does anyone ever perfect an instrument like the guitar in their lifetime. Even Steve Vai or shredders can always learn. It's supposed to be fun. Keep going.
Thanks. When it's no longer fun, its time to go home.. haha Thanks for your kind words.
Sorry, but that's a terrible sounding guitar. Buzz and everything. You should consider upgrading.
Good ear. It’s a 2 year old Taylor. Don’t need to upgrade but I do need to fine time to straighten the neck to eliminate the buzz on the 6th string. Thanks for pointing it out.
Fat G is a G9 then you play C9 …why not say it ?
Your high E is flat...
I'll be damned.
Might give this a go later, I can't play for shit, but hey love something new, thanks for posting
I have no family practically - none I can impress- and no friends . Perhaps I should get a dog .
If you have a guitar, that's all you need. 😊
Sounds great. Can you please tell the strumming pattern?
Yes. Down down up up down up Or 1, 2 and and 4 and
Nice job! Lots of great little and easy tips to jazz up the sound and playability of these chords especially in progression. Thank you😊
Very good lesson. I'm a beginner and have played for about 6 months.
@@johnnygreenway3579 if you’re able to play this after only 6 months, you are talented. Keep it up.
Dude I really like your style on this song great job great song bring it on 😊
Thanks so much!!
👍
I've known the CAdd9 and Fat G for some time now, but not the DSus4 and DSus2. I also love the song Without Expression and thanks to you I can play it too! Thank You!
Good going. Yeah it's a sweet song and playing it with these enhanced chords is more intermediate level, which is a big upgrade to beginner. Rock on!
Listen to Terry Reid’s cover
"You've Got To Hide Your Love Away" is a good example of a song borne out of these chords. Very good lesson, David.
Hey you're right. Hide Your Love is a song I've played for years. I just tried it using these enhanced chords and it sounds great. Thanks for your suggestion and your compliment.
Too funny!
Taught very well sir🎉

Not bad! And at least it's an original cover - and not the umpteenth Heroes.
