It’s been really hard yeah. I’m able to maintain a good performance or so with him but it’s definitely draining + everything’s just so heavy honestly. Playing some of the subs have really helped out a lot. Nothing but waiting for patch notes left. Gonna be surprised if they gave him anything tbh. 😔 Thank you for the comment and dropping by! 🙏

Honestly have more fun playing Jin or some other char at times if it's an off day. I don't enjoy Reina as much, but yeah the char's in a rough spot atm. T-T

Tbh, as for how he approaches the game, I can't talk on his behalf since I'm not pro like him, but all I can say as someone also maining the char, it's hard to force "Tekken 8" style either way with DVJ due to the character's nerfs on generics and lack of "T8" tools to compete with the meta as of now. He did start using some other tools later on in the recent tourneys, and he's progressed/had better placings since Evo Japan. The char still does need some QoLs and other things, and the pros don't see him in a good light as of now, honestly he's still is the ONLY player carrying DVJ far in stacked tourneys. Just my take as well. Cheers!

What devil jin tools are you taking about? Is it the mc stance which is high risk (can be jab float, side step or launch punish ) or hs thats high risk/low reward , no oki since everybody who know devil jin already expect this. Devil heat moves thats useless outside combo? The chain thats sidesteppable or duckable leading to long recovery equals dead? The overly nerf fundamentals and heat smash? Whats tools are we talking about?

​@@axelrossvillarin9505 Anyways some "T8 tools" I kept vague are really more on just "set ups" and sparingly used stuff like the Ferrari tech (pre nerf) he did with MC22, he started using b3 heat dash after this if you've noticed, even more armor, he did weave in u1 more, some db1+2 here and there. But yeah sadly none of them really hold up consistently in higher levels + we're just kinda forced to use these here and there + nerfed fundamental tools we have left. Do note, I can actually list much more about his problems, but may need to make a video about DVJ's state down the line I guess for more clarity.

As a devil jin main myself and a long time fanatic(since devil within) im already aware of some devil jin problem and if theres more, i would really appreciate and would gladly tune in if you have the time to make a video of it. I also hope your channel becomes even more popular since its rare to have a devil jin main player such as you. I also hope that you would be one of the big voices that would help change the poor status of devil jin in tekken 8. As things stand now, devil jin players plight and voices of anguish arent heard. To make matters worst we only get nerf after nerf each patch. Devil jins tools just isnt suited for tekken 8 right now + the difficulty and execution just gives no reward. Easy = strong while hard = weak just doesnt make since + the behavior and balance tweak to devil are plain dumb and lazy, ultimately destroying devil jin bit by bit

@@axelrossvillarin9505 whole heartedly agree and I didn’t want this video to kinda pour out all the grievances, just keeping it positive for now. Tbh judging how my light jab at “the Dvj getting shot every patch meme” turned out on Twitter, it had a few..up in arms comments on how he kinda shouldn’t be buffed/fixed or he’s “ok to be low tier or mid” is going to be a tricky balance to relay the info properly without sounding we want absurd buffs to a character’s base design just not working out in a fundamental level and his current design is at odds atm with T8’s system as seen basically at any level of play honestly. @Raijinmei ah I see. Jin is the only one I ever learned. I've been tempted to pick up the others for a breath of fresh air, but i really feel like i need to fully master jin first. . Would love a match at some point. I could use more people to play and or practice with lol

@@LazifiedLazi DVJ and Kaz are much heavier in this game than last tbh. Jin's made to be easier so he's gotten lighter vs T7. But it does help to gain perspectives on their pros/cons. I'm good on scheduling a lobby, but it'll depend on your region. :o

It's quite an odd flip flop between the 2 modes tbh. Though lately my exp in ranks even on subs, have been closer to my exp on QM (granted they gave me similar prowess/ranking people)
