heyy! so when i applied for the program, there was no portfolio submission since everything is based on your grades from highschool, provincial exams and other transferrable credits like A-levels! hope this helps :)

Hiii! Pretty much any laptop you are comfortable using for the rest of you degree I would say! There is no specific requirements :)

Yes you are definitely keeping it real.. What is the question of what is real? Real is exactly how you feel.. Real it's not other people's expectations. Real is your own expectations.. Besides people can be assholes and get on your nerves.. You're beautiful woman and I love your genuine openness.. It's a admirable breath of fresh air.. So many people are afraid just be ordinary... When really they are extraordinary.. What is real for you is what is extraordinary for you.. You are growing because you broke the bonds of ego.. The psychological ego of what people expect you to be. ( Be what you expect you to be ) I think you become more of a genuine person not being glued to social media.. Believe in your realness.. Everybody is like robots.. social media robots.. I think you're wise enough to actually see through the facade of it all.. You are actually peeping through the veil.. Are you familiar with MBTI? If not, I’d take it and see what comes up. Id put my money on INFJ. That’s what I am, I’ve gone through the same thing over thinking every god damn thing for so long, etc. then I found out about my MBTI, and it explained my entire life. Anyway, good luck 💪🏾

I can totally relate, and understand where you are coming from. So glad that there’s people like you who can openly talk about the emotions some of us are not willingly to speak about. I hope things get better.
I don't even know you but I feel like I understand. We are all under so many layers of pressure and expectations, and platforms turn you into something you're not. COVID *is* partly to blame, but also just general hustle culture and the pressure to second-guess how you're doing everything. You GO ON, change, adjust, be yourself. Be as "extra" or as "basic" as you need to be. PS - I went to college for marine biology and ended up in marketing. Don't even sweat it. ;)

not sure if you’ll see this but i was wondering do you do a lot of presentations? also is there specific requirements for a laptop in the SIAT program? thanks!
yupp we do a lot of presentations, esp later in your degree. as for laptop, get the ones you are most comfortable using I would say. there are pros and cons in all of them. hope that helpsss

@@user-yb7ho3eu1n haha not really i would say comparing to other programs in sfu. siat is a super small program, so i would say the class is usually max 40 people for upper years and 80 for lower div classes

Anywhere really that is close to the expo line since SIAT is based at Surrey Campus!
