Yeah, its an autocross setup so not perfect for track. the car rotates a little too well at times lol

Are you logging/monitoring oil pressure and did you overfill or do anything as a precaution for engine failure?
I am doing an overfill, but only recently have I started doing that.
@@MagicAardvark Any plans to log oil pressure? I'm curious to see how autox pressure drops vary from track day logs.
@@S2K2121 I'm not really planning to. In autocross the transitions are so much faster that the oil doesn't really get a chance to starve. I've had the car out of track a few times too (mostly right handers too) held up fine.

Is this the resonated or non-resonated Milltek Exhaust? Also this is with the Mic mounted outside, right?
So it's the non resonated, but I bought it used and it does have a resonator welded in lol. The mic is external clipped onto the number plate

It's using a Bluetooth OBD2 reader. It's quite laggy tho as the refresh rate isn't great
Very nice. You have almost the same setup as my STR GR86: same wheels, tires, springs, and sway bar. No headers on mine.
I've no headers either. And no remap or anything. Pretty light build
How do you have your Ram Mount phone holder attached to the dash? I moved from a WRX to GR86 and looking forward to running it.

Yeah there are rules and guidelines about pacing and basic elements that can be built. There's a lot of experience in setting up good courses to produce a course that flows well and keeps safety in mind (for courses that may be tighter)

Nope. Felt great. Actually could easily go harder I still had the damping turned down a bit

The mount is just a basic one from amazon www.amazon.com/dp/B01MUHLRES?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share Yes crash bolts are legal. Camber bolts are not.
Any concerns tracking the car as of late given drivers recent trouble? I finally got mine after waiting a year and afraid to drive hard.
The car has some common issues but honestly I feel like it is way over hyped. Like the Porsche IMS issue of the mid 2000s. I have had this car at a couple of tracks. And autocross it a lot of weekends. It gets driven hard and has never missed a beat. So bo, no real concerns on my side
The steering wheel buttons in this generation of 86 the worst yet... They always accidently call someone or distract you when you're trying to do any performance driving. Good run

@@1Solace ohlins are great shocks. I'm waiting for a set of redshift to arrive and we will see what it can do with bigger wheels too

A 19mm Perrin front bar, stock rear
The GR86/BRZ is an oversteering car and sticky tires are a must.
It has 200tw 660 falkens. Cold temperatures mean they were tricky tho

Not at all, 5' 10" on a good day. Tbh, the clearance is pretty good. The roof liner has cutouts for extra clearance too.

Nice laps. You lapped a lot of cars. Have you dropped the oil pan and checked for RTV in the oil pick up tube? I think I'm going to do that to my GR86.
I have not, it's not a concern to me. The people who actually know what they are talking about agree that while there is some buildup, it's unlikely to have much effect.

Gentle brake work, vs my 2017 Civic Sedan which would require sharp stabs to help the rear come around.
RWD has its perks! This car is really balanced on brake, even with aggressive pads.
You need more rear break bias then

get out and try it! Cones rarely cause damage and you will be glad you did. Its a blast!

I've done autocross and track. I feel autocross is safer and harder. On track, it's easier to see where you should go at any given point in time and turns are usually less densely packed, but in autocross if you mess up or spin, you're probably not going to hit a wall or another car. Also you hit much higher speeds on track. I like the idea of learning dynamics in autocross then trying dedicated circuits, then mixing it up or sticking with what you liked more.
