Being a physician definetly pays well, yet the exhausting work of being an ER doctor taking night shifts and completely thrashing my sleep schedule does not help going into my 50's. Furthermore while the pay is way above average, the length of learning medicine and almost no pay raises since 2000 is one reason I'm retiring soon

I work with medicare advantage plans back east. I hear stories every week about hospitals and physicians dropping their relationships with certain vendors.😢

From what i understand the insurance companies take over Medicare when it becomes an Advantage plan but to your point maybe Medicare is not paying the insurance companies
