How big of an area will this repair. I have a chunk a bit larger than a quarter and one about silver dollar size. Will this work? What does the finishing wax do? Will this eventually wipe off and need redoing?

Is it possible to repair a laminate work top that has had a red hoe pan placed on it. The laminate has not broken, so there no hole and its sill perfectly flat but the colour has gone.

For those asking where to buy this - after searching Sherwin William's web site and calling two local stores and coming up blank, I searched Amazon for "Burn in stick" - you will quickly find the color sticks, the burn in knife tool, the burn in lubricant he uses. Not sure if it's a regional thing with Sherwin Williams or if their site just stinks and the folks working in their retail shops are not well trained or what...
