Good one. A request though...let Nandhaur be like it has always been please... unknown and undisturbed. It should not go down the road Corbett has in recent years. one of the safe havens for true wildlife lovers and not a picnic spot for rich tourists like Corbett NP.

Olive Smythies, the wife Mr. Evelyn A. Smythies, was a very good writer. Ten Thousand Miles on Elephants, and Tiger lady: Adventures in the Indian Jungle were written by Olive Smythies, and A Tiger That Climbed a Tree was written by her husband EA Smythies are very interesting books to read. EA Smythies was posted as the DFO Haldwani from 1920 to 1921 and later from 1924 to 1926. Haldwani Forest Div was created in 1911. The couple (rather Oliver Smythies) were believed to kill a Tiger in 1925 in Nandhaur area. In fact EA Smythies fired at the tiger from a near by machan, but the bullet missed the tiger (he was left with one cartridge) and the tiger climbed another machan (built on another nearby tree) on which Oliver Smythies was sitting, and the machan with tiger and the lady was caved down and Oliver Smythies is believed to kill the tiger. Interesting tales on Indian Jungles and hunting experiences. Reading them is believing. A great treasure. I have the full book, but would like give the gist (cropped pages) published in BNHS’s Hornbill Magazine published in 1987, which gives a comprehensive account of the incident that happened. Read to Enjoy Hemanth Kumar IFS Retd Pccf UP

Interesting story. I had heard a slight different version of it, telling bravery of the lady, in one RUclips video of Jaulasal FRH. This one is more detailed and looks authentic. The two words 'dancing girls' are often seen in this series. Please tell us more about 'dancing girls' as whenever we read about british era dak bungalows or watch our old movies, where such old bungalows are shown, we often get to read or hear the, sound of ghungarus, which has always a connection to the presence of ghost. 🙏🏼

What a research work, done for this beautiful presentation... Old brass spoon and old coins, can take one back into the history. Construcring railway lines was a mammoth work..... But it also reminds us the deforestation and exploitation of our land and people.

This is 3rd video, of this series. I found this channel, just half an our ago. After watching these videos.... i really have to think over and over ... to write a comment... i am so impressed by the comentary, photography, drone shots, composition.... that i am speechless....more precisely... I am wordless... Great 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Awesome video. Beautiful drone shots, camera movements, well composed and well presented... I heard the name Chor galiya and Nandhaur, in Corbett's books. I think, Olive Smythies is that same Lady, who shot dead a tiger, over a machan and there is a pillar built, in the name of that tiger. I liked the logo too, which has a hornbill, an elephant and a tiger.... All in one
