Handel's Sonata in G Adagio
Просмотров 749 лет назад
Here's a quick recording of the Adagio from Handel's G major flute sonata. I recorded the keyboard part ahead of time and played along with it
wow, it is so pretty. thank you for uploading it.
I see now that a trebuchet throws too high to lob pumpkins into my neighbor's yard. Looks like a mangonel it is.
Whatever it takes to get the job done!😂
Oh
WOW
Great work.
Thanks!
So good,

Melon pult
Can you send me how u built this I wanna out this on the roof of a frat house
Do research on how to build a meter scale trebuchet. You can go on wikihow on help with that.
I NEED THIS FOR MY ANNOYING NEIGHBOURS
Good video 👍
interesting !
I like how you respect your neighbors and drop it right inside the fence line. Precision.
Thanks! The test shots were our "dialing in" to keep the melon just in the yard.

Trebuchets are factually a superior civilian home defense artillery weapon than a catapult.
Only if someone stands still long enough.
What’s the initial velocity of the melon?
Zero? ... Seriously though I don't know, we didn't measure.
deus vult
Sounds beautiful! So rich & velvety!
This is a superior siege engine
Beautiful machine.
AWESOME! PERFORMANCE!!
Wish I'd played it like that!
Jessica Peterson thanks, keep at it, you can do it!
I meant in the first place -- in the book/CD. I keep forgetting my name change, from Walsh to Peterson. But yes, I keep improving!
Jessica Peterson OH! Hi! We’ll have to saw another piccolo in half!!!
Most definitely. I can't get all my kicks watching you launch sousaphones. Close to all, though!
Beautiful work, thanks
Awesome! I love this!
Christopher Lee thanks!
Love this! Thanks Joe and Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Joe, that's awesome! Thanks for sharing the recording and the lead sheet.
Yow Joe!! That sounds great! Watch out Hubert!
Hey do u mind posting the materials needed... thanks
Wood, steel and some rope.
Standard attire, makes the melon fly farther😃
Why are you wearing socks with sandals?
Clearly as protection against watermelon detritus.
did u put a cork screw in the copper pipe?
All the copper pipe flutes have stoppers inside. Not necessarily all cork though but that would work too. With pipe it was easier to turn a plug out of wood and glue thin sheet cork to it for an airtight fit (Like clarinet tenons). You could sand down wine corks, but that would be a lot of sanding on the smaller diameter pipes
someone should sit in the counterweight box you could get quite some extra distance with that
Not exactly safe...I think that would hurt....!
not cool man
thanks!
Hi! What was the mass of your counterweight and your melon? Thanks!
+Jessica Barber 6 lb Melon, 180lbs counterweight. 30:1 ratio. The test projectile was made the same weight as the melon
+JButky One more question. Assuming a 6 lb melon and a 180 lb counterweight, how far would you estimate the projectile would travel? I really appreciate your help! Best, Jessica
+Jessica Barber You have to balance out the weight with pin angle to get what you want. That's why we made the test projectile. We weighed the melon and then built the test projectile out of rocks wrapped with duct tape. We made them both the same weight so we could adjust the weight and pin angle to get what you saw in the video. 30:1 is pretty good guide to start. So if you've got a 10lb melon, you want 300lbs of counterweight. Then mess with the pin angle to get the height vs distance that you want.
Why? Just why?
trebuchet + sousaphone = excellent combination. this fills my heart with joy.
Me too!
Banjos next.
For the record... These are defective instruments scheduled for recycling. They will live again! I work for a manufacturer.
Please stop the senseless destruction of these instruments
I agree with MrBillyam. As a repairer of brass instruments I do not see the humor in this.
very sad
maybe if it played something while it was being shot it would make sense
This was too much fun...
Love it!!!
