Copy Southbound
Австралия
Добавлен 16 июн 2020
Copy Southbound is a Podcast that features some amazing guests from all areas of the Australian Trucking Industry. It's hosted and produced by Bruce Gunter and Brendon Ryan. Bruce is also responsible for the extremely popular Kenworth Klassic Truck Show or KK as it is lovingly known and the famous truck run, Haulin' the Hume.
We wanted to bring to life some of the stories that are only ever heard over a beer or a coffee and really show the back story and history of some amazing people involved with trucks in Australia. These stories vary from how they got into trucking originally, some of the trucks they've owned, driven, restored etc. and some of the challenges they've faced and light-hearted moments throughout their time in the industry.

I started in 1972 trained myself with common sense , in a Commer Car Carrier, the only licence needed was the same as the Car licence in SA, an A class , in the 30 years "I never lost a truck, never lost a load, it's easier to unload at the depot than to pick it up off the road"
Heard your comments re Log books and all the BS, I pulled the Pin back in 2002 , got booked in 2001 for a log book about calling Rydalmere,,, Sydney , scalie asks how could I get from Sydney to Wyong in the time you did from Sydney... I said I left Rydalmere , uh oh thats NOT Sydney he said ...$110.00 , what pissed me off was I wasn't in a hurry , left Sat' morning and got to Rocklea Sunday arvo.
North Bound Little Sydney Harbour....10-4
Fantastic video, brings back a lot of memories for me, driving a UD for Flemings out of Wagga Wagga to Sydney or Melbourne , up Sesame Street, over Little Sydney Harbour South of Tarcutta. but I heard you mention Mad Mick, back in the 70's was a driver called John Grills, he made a 12" LP that I have and he did a couple of songs about Mick , " Mad Mick The Truckie" and "Where Did Mick The Truckie Go" plus some other fantastic truckie songs , I was also at Kalkallo for the blockade 1979 , then 1980 moved to Brisbane to drive a Road Train Car Carrier Brisbane to Darwin for 2 years.
Drown whoever edited this! That music is terrible
When in doubt.. have a clout... not Sure, have some more..!!
The Liesel Hales podcast was brilliant to by the way. . 👍🏼 👍🏼
Great idea for a podcast. . get a NHVR officer , or Hwy patrol officer in & speak to them on why they are determined to hand out missive fines Or maybe the Indian driver problem in interstate trucks
Probably get more info from a Dingo in the Desert
