Those other mics don't work on these cameras because it's not a powered mic jack. The Takstar mic works because it has a battery. Other battery powered, or chargeable, mics work, as well as wireless lapel mics. Thanks for showing that IR Torch. I didn't know about that.
I just picked up the hollyland lab mics so I’m gonna try that out. We are goi g to point pleasant in a couple weeks and I want to get some good night vision without syncing all the audio in post.
I had 3 of these 4hp Hangkais and ALL of them would die out at around 25 minutes. If you wait awhile, it would restart, but die out again. I now have the 6h version and it is a totally different motor. Have not tried it yet, though.
@@martinthibeaux317 that’s crazy. I never had a single issue with mine. Actually I just sold it to a friend because I upgraded. I would run mine all day and never had a problem. Weird
This just showed up on prime for free, will definitely check it out
Does this motor have a reverse?
@@austinwilliams8174 no it doesn’t but if you look at the update video, someone in the comment section said they found a 7hp with forward, reverse, and neutral.
The Hangkai 7hp outboard same design as the motor u have.... Have the reverse gear F N R
@@decardcain2549 oh good to know. How much was that one ?
@@lamefishing6716 I dunno in your country how much it cost as im from Malaysia it cost RM 2999 around USD700 via shopee which is comparable to Temu
@@decardcain2549 that’s sounds about right. I payed $750 US, so that’s about what I would expect.
I have the 4hp outboard motor version from Cukusin. I tested it often and with powerful waves and wind. My weigh is 270 pounds for a 9 foot inflatable boat. The speed is around 6 km per hours
Ya that sounds about right. Have you tested distance ?
@@lamefishing6716 I don't understand the question...
Have you tested to see how far one tank will take you ?
@@lamefishing6716 maximum speed it's 2 half hours, and regular speed it's for all day. If you alone it going longer distance
@@lamefishing6716 it is a small tank you need to add a gallon tank. With the small tank original it's about 2 half hours maxium speed non stop with 2 people and regulare speed, all day
I wonder how well it'd do on a 16x48
@@RiverRat81 I think it would do just fine. I mean you won’t break any speed records but I only bought mine to be able to get a full day out on the water without having to worry about carrying the additional weight of another trolling motor battery for back up. So it’s really about distance, but if you’re expecting speed that’s not gonna happen.
I heard these are very loud is that the case with this one?
I mean it’s an outboard so it’s going to be somewhat loud. It doesn’t bother me at all. It’s about what I would expect from a 7hp outboard. Maybe 50-60 decibels
@@lamefishing6716 Thanks!
Sounds like primitive premise. But stupid gen z kids needlessly dying…let’s rock!!!!
Has anybody made an adjustment on the throttle cable or carburetor?
@@williamgarcia1832 not yet. I might try towards the end of the fishing season
I got mine and I think that the throttle cable need adjustment. Anybody with the same issue?
Is the 7.5 a short shaft
I believe it’s a short shaft.
What is the weight on the motor?
@magnussmitt I will reach out to the manufacturer. I am unable to find it on my own, I’ll get back to you
@@magnussmitt so I reached out to the manufacturer, the weight of the motor is 49 pounds. Also they said to let you know if you buy the motor they will offer you an 8% discount per Amazon regulation.
@@AndrewVigil-rq3cp thanks!
Does anyone know how to lay this thing down? Every time I lay mine down, it leaks oil.. I believe there's a certain side to lay it down on where the oil wont leak..
I’m not sure. I always keep mine on a stand when it’s not on my boat, so unfortunately I don’t know. Hopefully someone else can help with that in the comment section.
On a similar motor i saw the website selling them is to keep it upright but if you have to transport it lying down, slowly lay it down so that the gas tank is on the ground and the prop is lower than the head. Edit to add: make sure the fuel is low enough to not reach the vent in the gas cap, or it will leak gas
I went to the hardware store today to pick up those adjustable things you attached to your boat. Problem is, i have seen them before, but i don't know what they're actual purpose is so i didn’t know what section to look in. I found something similar in tbe paint department, an attachment to connect a paint brush to a long handle, but a) it was plastic and i didn't think it would hold up and b) the reciever hole was flat to accomodate a paint brush and i would rather not have to modify. What exactly are those things? Electrical? Flag holders? P.s. i think i will use 4" ABS pipe rather than foam floats.
They are metal flag pole holders. At my Lowe’s they are up front kind of in the garden section. Where all the flags are. I looked at the extra one I bought so I went and looked. They are called “rain or shine” that’s the brand. Hope that helps
Also let me know how the pipes work out
I will. When I wrote that question I was just going in to Canadian Tire. I went to the boat section and they had something similar but, again, plastic. It also came with a pole and flag. I will try to find a couple of metal ones online. I'm only vaguely aware of how I'm going to attach the pipe, but I will keep you posted.
Dragging the electric trolling motor, while demonstrating must slow it down a bit.
Ya I’m sure it does but I only use the outboard to get me where I’m going to fish. I like to be able to move around to different areas at my spot
Any particular kind of paint on the outriggers?
@@mystreteacher I bought the cheap rhino liner type paint from Lowe’s and it has held up pretty well.
What are the adjustable swivel pieces that you have mounted to the side of the boat called and where did you get them? I want to make these for my boat.. very cool concept...
@@djmagicmixmistro3861 they are flag pole holders. I got them from Lowe’s. Probably $10 dollars each
Its not the same ting, you are running it without load of course it will run for a longer time, You have to actually run it on the boat with load to get Real duration of the battery

Good evening, what a splendid . 🤩
Don't fill from the top port on the gear oil. you must take out both plugs fill from bottom hole put the top plug back in then remove the bottle from the bottom hole and quickly re install the bottom plug! gear oil is too thick to allow air to escape when filled from the top and when it seems like it is full it is actually not due to air bubbles taking up space in the fluid. NO HATE JUST WANT TO SHARE INFO!
Thank you. That’s why I started the channel. I’m trying to learn and am willing to learn from my mistakes. So I appreciate the feedback.
@@lamefishing6716 i enjoy the content i maybe pulling the trigger on this motor because your review thanks for posting this and sharing info on it!
@@crowsgarage6669 no problem, and thanks for pointing that out. I’m just trying to figure all this stuff out and figured other people are too, so why not do it together.
I have taken the both plugs out on my outboard. Because the plugs are on the same site I fill when the motor is sideways on table. So I pour oil from the bottom hole and once I see the oil level on the top hole I know it is full. Then I turn the impeller few times to remove any air etc. I have 2 stroke motor and I use normal manual car gearbox oil 70-80w something. Haven't had any problems in 4 years.
I've read in articles how it would ruin the jumpstart I was a manager for a horrible slumlord so people leave stuff got mine for free.Back injury still no surgery sold my house for a less than it was worth, nobody would help me fix it so I went off the grid since they didn't give a ...I don't talk to anyone in my family including my 40 yr old children took care of my mom after my dad died.social security and selling stuff is my income I prayed about it
Ya since then I went ahead and just got another small battery to run it. I was just trying to think of ways for people who couldn’t lift as much still be able to have a battery.
I built your design and they are so awesome. Stabilized my tippy jon boat, can now stand up and move around without worrying about tipping over.
That’s awesome. I’m glad they worked out for you. Mine are a little shorter now that I broke them when the wind blew my boat into the dock, but they still get the job done
Did you fill the gear oil behind the prop ,,? People say they are dry from the factory...or is it still fine without Im getting one of these tomorrow Thanks mark uk
So when I first got it I didn’t know about adding the gear oil. I ran it a few times and no major damage but I would definitely recommend doing it. It not real difficult at all.
@@lamefishing6716 many thanks 👍 I'll do that ...mark UK
Hey guys hows it going okay im totally new to this but im trying okay so i have the 4 stroke also its the 144fv engine off ebay also but in my instructions its talking about oil mixture in the gas i thought a 4 stroke engine was gasoline only NO MIXTURE like i said the boat stuff is new to me the instructions of course aren't very helpful i know i need to put gear oil in the propeller housing not to sure what weight to use i can figure that out but i thought i was just going to put oil 10w30 amd then just put 91octane gasoline...... why is it telling me to add oil in the gas 🤷♂️🤷♂️ if some one can help me out thanks in advance it would be greatly appreciated
Ya that doesn’t make any sense. You shouldn’t need to mix the gas and oil. Maybe put in here a link to the one you bought. That may help. I looked on Amazon at what I think is yours but I don’t know. It says 4 stroke so that’s weird.
@@lamefishing6716 thanks lookin man greatly appreciated yeah I guess I'm thinking power sport machine logic 4 wheelers etc ...... I guess for this stuff it's different
@eddietrujillo224 if it has an oil stick it is 4 stroke.. if it doesn't, it's a 2 stroke and you need to use oil has mix.
Been looking at ways to add some stabilization to my 14’ tracker topper.. This may just be the quickest and most effective ideas I’ve seen yet! Thanks!
Do you have a follow-up video on this? It's been 3 months.
I’m working on it now. Had some towing issues and couldn’t take it out. Finally got that resolved. I should have it finished up this week.
@lamefishing6716 awesome sounds good I'll be watching it
@@scottd8555 ya I want to take it out again and get some better shots on the water then I’ll put out the video
Thanks for the video! I'm gonna go look for this one now -- I think I missed the price and where ya got it, but I'm pumped to see your long term review!
I got it on Amazon. They bumped the price up a little bit it’s $575 now, but the extra horsepower is worth it.
@@lamefishing6716 I agree! I can save up for a week and get something I'll be frustrated with for a few years, or wait 3 weeks and follow your advice. 🤜🤛
Ty brother! Doing some motor shopping for my mini pontoon, and this is a huge help!
Take a look at the Cukusin 7.5 HP. I made a video on it. I’m working on an update video right now. Running fantastic
@@lamefishing6716 thank you! I'll find your other video, and looking forward to the update!
They are a 2 hp. Based on the honda Gx 50.
Quick question sir, i just got this motor and realized there's no neutral or forward gear? However at the end of your video you started the motor and it was at idle...Does this motor need to be shut off every time I want to stop it? Or does it go into "neutral" if I lower the throttle all the way down?
No you don’t need to shut it off. On mine when you lower the throttle all the way down that is the neutral position. So ya just lower the throttle all the way down
@@lamefishing6716 thank you sir!
Genius Idea, Thanks for sharing.
from the bracket mout to the bottom of the prop how long is it? thank you
Looks to be about 18.5 inches.
So I've used this motor a lot lately. Looks like I get about 15 miles per gallon and it pushes my American 12 jon boat at about 7.5 mph
That’s good to hear. I’ve had some towing issues and I’m trying to work it out. So I haven’t had the motor on the water yet. I’m dying to get it out on the water. Sounds like I’m going to get the same experience in my 12 foot Jon boat
I wish they would stop calling these 4HP as this is a gross overstatement, even the Honda GXV50 which is superior is only 2.5HP.
Looking at this outboard as well, any updates on performance before I place my order?
Not yet, but someone in the comment section took it out with 12 ft. Jon boat and went well. I think they said 7.5 mph and preformed well.
@lamefishing6716 I was hoping for a little more speed, but it probably depends on the boat. I have a 14.1 foot Bris kaboat inflatable that weighs about 100 pounds.
@stevefeldman4996 ya that’s what I said but I might mess with the governor
Let me know how it goes. I'm the guy that commented earlier. I'm looking at an inflatable. My current boat pushes like a brick. It a sun dolphin American 12@@stevefeldman4996
I plan on doing a follow up. I put a hitch on my golf cart at the campground so I can launch the Jon boat. I’ll definitely make an update video soon.
I like the flag post idea someone's got but instead of the pvc im going to do 3/4" steel rods instead of pcv
Ya that’s a good idea, I was trying to watch the weight
Just an FYI - to fill lube oil in the lower unit... 1st, you remove the top screw and the bottom screw. Then you inject the lube "from the bottom screw hole" until it leaks from the top hole. While continuing to apply pressure from the bottom, you screw in the top screw (this creates a vacuum to hold the oil in the unit). Then you can remove the lube tube from the bottom and put that screw in place. Hope this helps someone...
Most definitely. I appreciate the feedback. All of this is new to me and I’m trying to learn and I appreciate it when people tell me the right way to do it. Thank you
He's correct on this... top hole is full level... pump in from bottom hole
Got mine out today. At low idle when the clutch is kicking in does yours sound like the gears are about to fly apart? Until you gas it good
I haven’t had it in the water yet. But mine seems to run smooth on the stand
You just nailed it son. Thank you
R u using it in fresh water or salt?
Freshwater, lakes and ponds.
I have seeing this amazing machine, live it's amazing!!
I literally just pulled the trigger on this and purchased it through Amazon. I'll be posting a video on my experience as well. Good luck, everyone. I'm excited.
Just bought this motor about 2 hrs before seeing this video. Thanks in advance for saving me time on the gear oil.
Not a problem. Just trying to help, after all that’s what RUclips is for right ?
Got it today! And ...... The temperature dropped to the 20s😢 from 70 to 20s in 5 hrs
@Dmoormans5 ya that sucks, I still got a few weeks before I can go out. Was gonna try next week but doesn’t look like it’s gonna happen.
@@lamefishing6716 7.3 mph on a American 12 jon boat
@@Dmoormans5 good to know. How much weight in the boat ?
I have this motor. I have not used it yet. I live in Cleveland, Ohio, so I'm waiting on the weather to break as well, but it started right up can't wait to use it and compare notes
That would be great. It’s so frustrating because there are days where it’s 57 degrees and I wish my boat wasn’t in storage because I would go get it and fish. But maybe another month and we’re good
Hi great work i have a couple of questions if you don't mind i have a 1432 jon boat i think it's 350ibs people total of 500apx the thing is i need to carry 1000lbs total payload also i want my wife to fish with me and she is scared of the boat so i want to make it as stable as possible to ease her mind i love your work and your style can you give me an idea of what these floats add to the boat capacity it's very important to me and I greatly appreciate you sharing with me that's my story thanks again keep it up
So I googled what the weight capacity of your boat is. It says 580 pounds. I dont know that I would even try to come close to 1,000 pounds. The most I’ve had in my boat is around 550 pounds with my brother and I. It did fine but even with 4 of those stabilizers if you try to put your wife on there too I don’t think she will ever get on there again. What are you carrying that weighs 1,000 pounds ?
My boat is listed at 500lbs as well and myself + my fishing partner go over that by 200lbs as I'm about 250 and he is in the 400 range. Combine that with the 130lb kiddo and we still roll out without outrigger. Definitely thinking about these 😂. May make my trips safer!
They work great. They will definitely at least help with that
Just added these to my 12ft jon boat. Used adjustable aluminum walking cane for the main shaft. Thanks for the idea, made my boat SOOOO much more stable.
That’s great. Ya I ended up breaking mine in a little closer and doubled up with the float pods. I have two on either side of the deck and then two in the midsection now. The ones on the deck are only kept on with a tie down. Works great. Don’t want anymore holes in my boat.
Very nice idea
